sh*t i would have been keen at that money, if i had known about it. Its an awesome car.
-
Why? Theres no benefit to the car by having cats. Best not even have a V10 M6 if you care about the environment lol. Those M6s are f**k ugly, but its a cool color. Better than black or silver.
-
No, the germanplates are missing the little reflective fern the NZ plates have
-
Its like $80 vs $300, if you dont get caught. Govt euro plates are crack money.
-
Illegal but good. Didnt have an issue with them on my M3 down here, and theres heaps on cars here now.
-
Wish @_ethrty-Andy_ was still doing German Plates group buys.
-
Yeah, i was looking at it going "oh wow, why do all the good cars come up when im not in the market?!" and then i saw it was auto and closed the page. Its very very nice, but a limited market with that trans, at that price.

Best color and interior too
-
Oh yes, Repco special purple tints too!
-
oh sheit

I really like that color, and it looks to be in great condition, but one has to wonder why anyone would bother getting a fresh import from japan and trying to sell it for that sort of money? Its not the original paint either, should be Lazurblau. Looks to have dirty old snow tires on it too.

You can convert to a single mass M40(?) flywheel and clutch. Had one in my 323i, rattled like crazy at idle, but drove pretty good.
-
Youre also still relying on the stock boost sensor, are you sure its reading correctly?
-
Do you know how much boost you are actually getting and what the ecu is expecting (and have you confirmed with an independent gauge)? Could it be something as simple as a faulty pressure sensor telling the ECU its seeing less boost than it is?
-
LOVE LOVE LOVE that color scheme. What a stunner, congrats on the purchase!

Something you will learn quickly with a BMW, is that unless its a basic oil change, taking it to your "local" isnt always a good idea. A good independent BMW specialist is the way to go. It may cost more in the hourly rate, but itll make up for it with a more accurate diagnosis and knowledge.

$55 + half hours labour to code.... your point is moot, as that totals half the total cost of the key. If you want it done properly, by a major workshop, then be prepared to pay the costs associated with that. If you dont like it, sure, buy the equipment yourself but when it does wrong dont expect the dealer to give a sh*t. Some keys could be cheaper, but you need to be realistic about some things. Merc keys are cut and programmed overseas and then DHL airfreighted to NZ. That isnt free. We see heaps of knockoff keys, and the quality is crap, not to mention the amount of customers coming to us after getting a knockoff key cut and then finding it doesnt have an immobilizer chip in the key at all. People are such whingy little bitches these days.
-
The problem is, there is no point getting shitty at the dealer, i know for Merc keys we make sweet f**k all on them, so it must be the overlords that make all the money. What some people also dont understand is that included in the price of some keys (like Mitsubishi keys) is the cutting and coding of that key, to make it work with the car. Half the cost of mitsi keys in generally that labour. $700-800 for some of the merc keys is f**king crazy though.

$85 for pads? Are they made of compressed chinese recycled cardboard or something?! Ive paid more than that for smaller pads on lesser cars, lol.
-
I would if i could but some dumbass saw fit to put the criminalsgubbermint here, so as long as the missus has a job im stuck here. The outer/northern suburbs are the place to live, avoid the CBD and southern suburbs like the plague. The rail system is useful although super expensive and its pricing/charging scheme is terrible (needing different tickets for different lines, still using physical paper tickets etc). The bus system is crap.

I miss CHCH. Welly is a craphole in comparison (in terms of housing, layout, traffic, lifestyle, driving roads, accessibility). Jville has some of the worst drivers i have encountered in wellington. Ngaio has crap roads, and damp houses.
-
If you want a garage, youre looking at outer suburbs straight away. The commute from LH to Welly CBD is a killer in rush hour if you drive. Everything is expensive, but tends to get cheaper the further away from the CBD you are.

They can only go off whats on the dash, so its fair enough to say thats what the car is "showing". Better than claiming it has the KM of the new engine like most trademe listings

I know which i would rather be in.... Both Euro NCAP. E39 Swift Its really just not a good argument.
