Bump- closes tomorrow

$245 from redline. http://www.redlineperformance.co.nz/produc...s/bmw/mgp-5430/ A workmate recently got one from redline to cut up and put in an rzr. Welds looked good inside and out. Not sure what other magic separates a good radiator from a sh*t one.

Need to get my project going before I loose all hope

Cheeers Steve. It is still useful because I was still going to do away with the body ecu -
I hacked my wiring loom up. It's taken me this long to man up and decide it isn't worth rewiring the whole car. So I need the body loom of the car with all the connectors. And some window winder motors. Because I was dumb and thought manual windows would be a good idea

It's all on trademe now. Along with some injectors http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings....?member=1605258

awesome. Can't wait to see it at the track. Standard head gasket?

good idea. Sorry to be a whinge but the 4 inch grinder with no guard looks like trouble.

look up acetal. Same stuff different name. dotmar and another place out of tauranga are the cheapest. Most engineering shops on sell dotmars products What size and color do you want? i might have some spare Edit: since your in Tauranga- the place is called supply services

Wheels $1000 Rotors are still for sale. Will sell cheaper if you can collect from Hamilton

I should of said shorten the steering knuckle. But not in the way that the trademe link has done. Welding to cast will not pass a cert. This will increase the "steering quickness". You will gain more lock(if you don't adjust your limiters) and you will get there in the same amount of turns as before.
-
Another option could be to use something like this http://slrspeed.com/applications/e36-race/ You could go without the control arms. And the roll center and bump steer might be a little off depending on your ride height Not sure if legal though. A bit more legit then this sort of thing http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-629759730.htm

Another thank you for sharing

Does the cobb gear have the ability to change the dwell timing?
-
What are you doing under a car when it's just on a jack? Please stay safe. I've got an sp tools spanner set. Sizes between 8 and 24. It does miss 18mm other then that it's handled a bit of use. Can't lock the sp spanners together to get more leverage. A little longer then the usual spanner I like them but find myself using Barco gear when it's a hard to get bolt

zf 5 speed should hold up for awhile. Found in 3l m3's and manual 328's(e36)

interest. depending on price
-
That's a bit of extra money for a new engine and seals. Swap in the non vanos gear and spend the extra money on a cam or something else that will make you grin.
-
The new g4+ was just released today. I'd assume the prices of the old units will go down Not many extra features in the new one(the majority of people wouldn't know the difference)
-
I should've worded it better, I was meaning adding the extra vanos units on the front would give minimal gain to a turbo'd m50/4.
-
if you'd like to flick off the megasquirt i'd be happy to add it to my collection Hope it all gets running again soon. Is the top mount manifold a log style manifold?
-
the goal was to make it a more efficient engine. If it spools up faster as well i'd be happy. It is a lot of work for what some might consider a minimal gain
-
Not too much modifying is needed to put a the dual vanos front onto a single vanos head. If anybody wants any more info, photos(or maybe to buy it off me) pm me.
