Hel hoses are made by Alert I hope things haven't changed like Hi-tek mentioned in your build thread. Seemed good to deal with when I got my stuff More suppliers should be happier about taking my money -

http://www.finda.co.nz/business/listing/1g...o-services-ltd/ or http://www.alertmotorsport.com/ I've got some from alert. Very impressed with the quality of them. Great to deal with -
How much does NDT cost? Do you go through ATC
-
Choice i'll pm my number. I'll be in tauranga on sat morning but will be back around lunch time
-
I am not having a good day. Hope the new owner fixes it back to what it was.
-
how much did it go for? Turners dicked me around and i didn't end up getting a bid in unfortunately. If it went for under 7 i'll be laying eggs
-
If it is just the standard straight across subframe brace you can have mine for free
-
Ok well 'might do' list has turned into a done list Got a bit paint happy and wanted to paint everything. Subframe and X-brake were coated in POR15 metal ready, POR15 rust preventative paint, and top coats of 3M and VHT paint. The oil pump nut hadn't loosened much after 180k k's. And i've replaced the sump gasket. Bad photo I've also decided i'll replace the valve cover gasket and the oil filter housing gasket while i'm at it Looks like this engines been stretching its oil changes Also have remove the rear quarter window to change the seals in that

The shifter bushing twists out of its housing. Should be able to pop it in and twist it back up from there
-
As promised Ok to start -Get gum. I prefer extra white. Start chewing -Remove rear seats and pop off side cushion nearest window -Pop back and slide up the trim at the back with the lights. -Should look like this now -Remove the two bolts. You'll need an 8mm socket -Continue to chew gum -Unscrew the top seatbelt anchor. 16mm socket -Remove seatbelt height adjuster. Push in tab that's underneath with a small flathead while pulling it out. -Pull up the inner window trim and pull back the door card. You don't need to pull it right off just lean it away from the window. -Pull back the door seal enough so you can remove the b pillar trim. Now you've got this -Use a T40 torx bit and unscrew the seatbelt adjuster -Now you need a deepish 10mm socket to undo the nuts that are set inside the panel. Chuck the gum you've been chewing in the socket so you don't loose the nut down the panel Install is reverse of removal And done

Not too hard. From memory -remove trim that has the back lights. un plug lights -unscrew window opener thingy. Just 2 nuts -unscrew top seatbelt anchor -remove adjuster tab thing(this is a bitch to take off if you don't know what your doing) there's a little tab on the underside that needs to be pushed up -remove trim around seatbelt height adjuster -remove seatbelt height adjuster. I think this requires one of those special torx bits -remove nuts behind, don't drop them If i've got all this right then it should pop right out I'll do a good write up for you tonight

+1 for pictures Where are the cams from?
-
I'll be trying alloy bushes in the ears of the diff and a delrin bushing in the front
-
Looks really good. Welcome to the forum
-
If you don't do it somebody else will
-
ah bummer, cheers for that. Should've had a better look at how they're mounted on.
-
looks like it was very tidy. Will the panels be up for sale. In particular doors and bonnet?
-
Cheers this is exactly the info I was after. So what I am trying to reduce is radiant and ambient heat from inside the engine bay As far as I know -Ceramic coatings will not do much if anything to reduce radiant heat but should do a little bit for ambient heat. -Heat wrap will reduce radiant and ambient heat Because I would not consider my headers to be a disposable item. I also do not want to have to check them for cracks every year, I don't think I should be using heat wrap. Currently I am thinking I'll coat them in VHT and set up some heat shields like in an e46. I'm sure the shield above the headers will be a straight bolt on for the m52 I'd like to copy the way the brakes and diagnostic port are boxed off from the engine as well Any input on if you think i'm doing this correct or not would be appreciated

Had they backed out completely?
