The m3 unibody isnt really different. Only the stuff attached to that body is..(yes the e30 m3 unibody has a different part number as with all m cars) But I get what you mean.

Use to be a guy running a m54b30 in a e30 m3 a few seasons a go. This is all subject to the commitee too. So thats why you see e46 v8's in this year, They are a replica of the e46 GTR m3.
