Pretty interested in photographing some classics this year and maybe an e90 m3 ?? if someone has one Tom, your blimmin CSL is defanitly going to make it this year if I have anything to do with it.

Sounds more like your fuel pumps aren't getting up to pressure fast enough.

I find with the m54b32 it depends how you drive it and what viscoes oil your using vs engine wear. Mines always used about 2 liters every 6 months. Even more if im using the revs or going on runs. I use to run mine on 5w-60 but now that its at 140kms Castrol 10w-40 seems like a better option. Again, depends on what im using the car for. A lot of people claim they only go through bugger all oil, but you also find they only do 10000 ks per year, or open road driving. Living in auckland with stop start traffic, its normal to go through more. I do about 25-30000kms a year.

Looks cool and will surely be cheaper than the Intravee II setup. Downside I imagine it is stuck with 6 playlists (CD's) as BMW default. Intravee II gets around this with up to AiNet limited 514 playlists.

For a medium range ECU. It has everything going for it and now has one of the top processors for performance like for like. Unless you really need the more advanced motorsport functions (pectel, AEM etc) link g4 is now the one of the top ECU's you can buy.

Best thing you can do is go in there and explain your problem without any attitude (not saying you would ) and Im sure they will try and work out the problem. Probably best to speak with the site manager and see if you can come to some sort of arrangement. Communication is key.

The missus has some noise cancelling Sony headphones she uses at the gym with her new gen nano. They work perfectly as they are ear buds too. I wouldn't ask me what I use ill just end up telling you to move into the pro range stuff ... Just got my wireless g3 body pack stage in-ear monitoring system turning up finally from the states soon. very excited

[soapbox] no 135i ? ... in every review i've seen with the 135i vs evo / subaru / etc, the 135i was classed as the better driving experience. [/soapbox]

* Power to weight * Tires * Roll cage tieing all points of a vehicle making the handling a lot more predictible * Race tires vs road going semi slicks like what is on the CSL are different. Tire side and rubber compound are a lot different. * Race spec hardware also puts up with repeditive punchment a lot more, such as brakes, tires, suspension, fluids. It depends what hes talking about too. His car would probably be a lot faster in a straight line but yours in the corners will most likely clean up. My e46 for example vs a e30 m3. My car has more power, but the e30 is much lighter and far more nimble around corners. Even with a race going suspension setup and lots of grip. They generally out perform me in the twisties or atleast I have to put a lot more into keeping up where as the e30 m3 does it without too much drama.

I don't think its a mentallity that FWD cars are crap at handling, just that its a FWD and its not a RWD and not as fun. Not so much a whos quicker blah blah. Anyways, back on topic Would be interested to see where the stats came from.
