Grill, right headlight and right front guard were replaced. Most of those parts only had average damage done but repairer just replaced em as they do. The did put it on a chassis machine and checked radiator support panel etc and found it all with oe spec for straightness. Will try to track down before and after pics so any buyer knows what im on about.

Up for sale is my 540I 1998 4.4l v8 199kms Selling as i have a road/race car and bm isnt getting much use. Non vanos so no worries there Well maintained Cosmos schwarz mettalic (black) Genuine schnitzer wheels. Two brand new tyres ( kuhmo) two half worn Recent maintanance includes 8x ngk iridium plugs. New rocker cover gaskets. Rocker covers redone in wrinkle black Radiator/thermostat replaced about a year ago. Runs at good 90'c open road. Thrust arm bushes Full synthetic penrite oil change 600kms ago. Previous owner spent just under 5k getting trans reconditioned so shifts beautifully. Also had oem rotors and brake pads fitted. All about 2 years 7000kms ago. Always run on top fuel. All dash pixels work. All electronics work fine. Black Leather in good condition. Only downsides. Couple of scratches and small dents. Worst is scrape over left rear wheel arch. Rear window tint is bubbling. Not really noticable in car hence havent fixed it. On long trips after 400-500kms in one sitting the traction control light sometimes comes on indicating an error and deactivating traction control. Light goes off when ignition is turned off and on. Had it scanned a few times including at dealer and no fault codes logged. Just a slight annoyance really. Have had it twice in a weekend once but also went 7 months without it so fairly intermittant. Again only happens on long distance runs. I paid 8.5k but happy with 6.5k if it finds a good home. Pm me or txt 02102745013. Car located in taupo but cam discuss transport. Will post pics when this rain stops
  3. You can check the main fusable links yourself. After that either call an auto sparky or buy a 10l jerry of 98 unleaded.
  4. Wellington is a long way from the bombays...
  5. Sounds like you didnt do alot of research to be honest. If the service plan was a selling point why not ask whats covered. As pointed out wearing parts arent usually part of service. As far as oil changes look in the manual. Many will reccomend 20km plus but also say less under severe service like towing or short slow trips. Modern engines can handle this kind of milage on an oil change but only under reccomended conditions i.e. Open road driving at temp. I would still be changing once per year and you MUST use proper oil. Like stuff that runs up to a hundred dollars per 5l. not cheap landrover style oil

    Benz E63 AMG

    Oh really? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WNXySqqffJc
  7. Same old story. Good car but high maintanence. Scares off most buyers so drops price. First of model means more issues. Nothing to different from a s class.
  8. I like hydraulic fans. on racecar or high performance car i would go electric just so i can leave it running with engine off to stop engine bay temps spiking.
  9. Putting mechanical load on the engine to avoid mechanical load on the alternator?
  10. Spilt fanta is the only oem reccomended carpet stain iirc

    Mufflers

Amazons shipping includes border tax which doesnt apply to something that cheap so they are essentially stealing 35 follars off you
  14. I recognise that rear quarter vent but cant place it. Really annoying me
  15. Yea no the ac fan wont come close to enough flow. Just compare the light hum it makes to the roar of a good 16". Might work in canada
  16. I was refering to the electric fan it was replaced with. you did replace the viscous fan?
  17. Dont have lighting regs on me. Both lights must be reasonably visible from behind. License plate must be illuminated and trailers over a certain width must have forward facing clearance lights
  18. If it over heated sitting still obviously your fan wasnt functioning
  19. ^ think you need a lesson on the law.
  20. Have done it. Didnt lower thermostat though. Fitted16" electric fan and adjustable thermostatic switch set to around 92 on the outlet from.memory. No issue so far 6 months later. E36 323
  21. Hi guys does anyone have a good reccomendation for cellphone repair or do it themselves. have an lg optimus c900k here that has the slide out keyboard, looks like the ribbon that connects the two halves has failed as the screen is patchy, sometimes works sometimes blacks out. but works when you slide the screen out a certain amount so fairly convinced its the connector dont want to spend stupid money but its not too old so worth repairing if it can be done.

    Schumacher

The best case for recover at this stage is him being capable of feeding himself and having some semblance of sort term memory. Sad but true that his driving days are over
