  1. yes but a corolla can do all of that and better at it. the compact doesn't bring anything useful to the table until its engine dies and you put a 6 cylinder in and rip out the interior. unfortunately, after that it still looks like a compact

    WTB: E30

have an alpine white coupe 318 auto just been repainted including colour matching the bumpers (they did forget the mirrors tho.) comes with tech1 wing but otherwise standard
  3. i don't offer any warranty on electrical parts as they are 20+ years old now and possible to die at any point. if you had just spent $100 on a new unit to find your temp sender doesn't work and the brake light switch is faulty etc all very easy to make up a story. I only offer warranty on mechanical parts including engines when installed by a professional. Again, very easy for someone that doesn't know what they are doing to bolt terminals back to front, or install a part wrong, to come back with a claim. Not to say professionals can't do that, but less likely.
  4. hard thing to give a warranty on, there are a lot of connections on it, any one of which could have failed, let alone the retrofit kits
  5. finished the suspension/brake upgrade on the compact last night, took it for a test drive this morning put 60kms on it, and then back in the shed to install an M50 intake manifold onto it
  6. i think Milland will sell you the wire and cups/boots to make up your own. an auto sparky might be able to as well. think new genuine was 600 a side?? and will be newly stock i would have thought
  7. Both of which is too much work for some people, which is why car dealers exist.
  8. thanks for your PM Richard, not really after another at the moment, have an M60 in the shed with no home for it as it is! Cheers Andy
  9. Julian, if you have the gear, and are telling them how to do it, then why not do it yourself and save your self some coin? Clearly, paying them because you don't have the time is not a factor, as you have time to post up your cry here. Thread locked. Happy to unlock and or tidy up if needed.
  10. don't forget the plastic is 20 years old and spun millions if not billions of times. its brittle plastic by now, just like the rest of a BMW cooling system (and intake manifolds too) i always replace with aftermarket alloy parts, which are available for the M70, not sure about M73 e.g. if they have the same water pump??
  11. Unfortunately Bimmersport does not own either of those tracks, so your breath (or finger tips) is wasted here. Why not put the suggestion to them instead?
  12. whats the cost Chch to Auckland or Hamilton look like? and then go pick it up from there
  13. yep! suit all E36 except possibly M cars and/or Z3.
  14. loose the AC Schnitzer badge, or post what AC Schnitzer goodies it actually has, because from where I am sitting that is detracting value.
  15. 16. missed the updates, looks really good! a stiffer spring rate would be good too, that is leaning over a lot in the corners!!
  17. Forums have the advantage they are searchable for information using Google, but Facebook seems to be the common thing for smaller stuff i.e. not projects, just casual hey guys how to get this off etc. there is also the advantage of no fkn pokemon memes on here
  18. your little Honda so called cheap to run, but 8L/100km is very achievable in a 728i, mine would sit around the 9 mark but I'm not a light foot, and it had heavy 20" wheels to spin. ill keep my 10 speakers, 10 airbags, fully electric leather seats front and rare, ample leg room front and back, and a boot big enough far bigger than your practical hatch back. all that and the 7 is a fraction of the price. why be a peasant? about the only advantage i can think of for the tin can honda is the ease of parking it. to get back on track. as detailed with the stats Kelvin has provided above, 728i are not slugs just because they are the base model. far better power to weight than the base model 3 and 5 of equivalent age and they still sold well. if specced with the EDC suspension I'm sure they dance bloody well for a pushing two tonne car, mine did very well as it was on standard suspension, the crap chinese tyres let it down the most when i first got it, but i put some Potenza RE003s on the front and turn in was very good for a car of the size.
  19. whats your joke? almost identical power to weight to a "GE8 Honda Fit RS", and an E36/E46 320i as well.. and i know which id rather be in all of these are not rocket ships (although the Jazz RS is probably most marketed as such....), but were never designed to be. they keep up with traffic just fine and more than able to pass when required of them.
  20. BMW do those lights that go onto the ground too, if you search through Real OEM you will find they are an option as far back as the E36
