  1. Nah just call into yours and catch up with him and everyone there lol
  2. IMO.... buy a kit, replace both arms (ball joints already pushed in) and the bushes all at once. E46 are particularly hard on them, the other 3 joints wont be too far behind them anyways, will just be off the road again at the next 6 month WOF Gavin @ Euro Italian if you want to buy in Auckland.
  3. Drove my E38 to Tauranga, currently here, on the back of Rivesdale (40 mins out of Masterton on the coast ) and back to wellington over new year, and ECC meet and back last month, Also run to auckland and back some stage this week done over 2500km in it in the last month, 3000 by the time i get back. Such a nice car to drive! Scruffy around the edges etc but runs and drives well. Definately recommend looking at an E38 or E39 if you want a cheap hack, they are the ideal car for a BMW enthusiest, basic engines for self servicing, while also having the luxuries you need and want without over complicating things

  5. Ambers car coming off hers soon...

    MissBM V.2

GT Radial Chamipiro are definitely better then the numerous budget ones, but yes high power car need something a bit better. RE050 lots of M3s are on.
  7. Hi Toby I have some black stickers here if they won't do it without charging you $499
  8. I think fuel tank vent is blocked or partially blocked, air not going into the tank fast enough as fuel comes out of it. It's behaving exactly as my V12 E34 did right after build. Something like that wouldn't show up in a scanner
  9. Have these been refurbished at that price??
  10. thought it was this car for a bit had to check plates looks like a good example!
  11. is it a seats out job like e38?
  12. not sure if thats the same product or not but appears to be. perhaps they were further along than i thought or it was an old thread!
  13. some people use the air con button to switch on the electric fan despite deleting the rest of air con system
  14. not feasibly, however if one wanted to do so, presumably because they are after dual mounts, i saw last week there is a crowd in the US in the prototype stages of producing rear covers for the E30 diffs, presumably with the increase in V8 and S54 swaps being done to E30s people are ripping their floors and subframes out. No reason this couldn't be made compatible with the compact floor
  15. given up on the one lady owner E38 then?
  16. missed your last post, yes as above love the E38 wheels on it, suit the car very well and a good upgrade over stock without being the "look at me" with BBS RS
  17. yes I agree i would fold on appropriately priced 3.64, unfortunately they are popular with E30 guys and priced high, whereas 3.4 are worth much less. this build does have an emphasis on bang for buck to get me out and having some fun. if i am a few seconds slower than someone else or what i could be is not relevant. spending $700 or $1000k on a diff is half my budget, which i am just nudging the top half at the moment. having said that, the 4.4 diff in there is not even remotely usable with this engine and gearbox and has got to go
  18. will take it off your hands for an 8 million post count
  19. they got any cassettes for my E38? buy that math they should be paying me to take them away
  20. I hear what you are saying, though the ZF has a 1:1 5th gear it is not overdrive 0.8:1 like the E30 series cars use. 4.1 will give top speed about 160, definately will be quicker than that 3.6 i could go for, top speed about 190, but would like to think its got a bit more than that...? Edit: I am using this calculator: http://www.endtuning.com/gearratios/ ... while also referencing this to check feasibility of actually finding appropriate ratios http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Differential
  21. Just a problem if it gets into the cylinders, even more so if it sits. It's only water I used a long fleet straw and sucked it out spit it out
  22. Dunno why i clicked enter so soon, not all i was gunna say! New VIX oil filter on Wednesday and Penrite Race oil in the engine Also added some goodies to dress the car up a bit M3 front splitter, paired with the M3 mesh in the lower bumper, its almost complete M3 conversion to the bumper, still some bits to come Clear tails - piece of cake Clear fronts, bit harder to install, they rely on the headlights being present in factory form, very simple to modify to make work, however do need the pin on the back that so often snaps off. Have some M Trim to arrive for the sides and front bumper sitting at Brents place, All just smarten it up a bit and make it not look like a 316ti lol to be honest i am not a fan of the E36 as a whole, so anything to make it look a bit better must be a good thing lol Pictures as it sits now
