never knew that but that does make sence. Amber might be worth talking to Brent at some stage....

The korokoro dam burst, torrent of water down the track and out the bottom at cornish st, not sure on the facts but i understand it overwhelmed the piping under the motorway and train tracks. havent seen any media about it, just eye witness assumptions. damage etc aside, at least the lake at the top gets a bloody good flushing out, me and my dad took our dogs there a few weeks back and it was disgusting. though i suspect the track will be closed for a while, lots of repairs needed i would have thought and low priority.

so yum, i thought mine was minty but nope! -
heard about that yeap probably a fringe of the Supra/Z4 deal
-
how are you guys doing up the coast? you are on bimmersport so cant be too bad depot i work out of is 5 minutes from where i live both out in lower hutt so all good here, back yard flooded, and up to a thin layer of water in the garage but i keep everything up off the floor anyways, still raining pretty hard out

based on knowing how far my dollar goes at my local engineer, id say you would be struggling to produce that for $250 to be of a suitable quality worth fitting.

after recently picking up a car out of a tow yard and seeing it forklifted out of the pile and presented to me, i too would strongly discourage letting a car go to a car yard. what was still a WOFable and legal car with damage in the front was ruined because the floor was all pushed up, totally unrelated to the crash. i would have had them on but in this case i wasnt too concerned anyway, was on the verge of being a part out anyways.

Just sayin.... if it can happen to me who drives for a job, usually 1500km or more a week, its not surprising others can do it. sure gave me a bit of a freight, and makes ya feel stupid! But if sharing this helps change something then i have no problem in saying it. Its too late to have a sign at that point. fix the intersection and it wouldnt be needed. well obviously coming off the motorway you cant screw up. but turning onto the motorway, some of the Auckland ones are very poorly signposted it will sounds silly to you guys, because you are used to it, but they are set up different to elsewhere in the country, as you will know sometimes on and off ramps often 1km or more apart. i think that is in onehunga? im not great on auckland suburbs yet, learning now i am coming up more and more often. if so, could have been the one. Edit: my fricken GPS always puts me in the wrong lane when on north shore, heading south onto the bridge, and then very quick after the bridge no time to change lanes into the other off ramps or keep going etc again, out of AKL driver, max i am used to is 3 lanes, soon to be 4 lanes, but wellington motorways much easier lol

most likely still compatible with E36 rack. question worth asking which will increase your bites..... is it M5x compatible
-
ill help you swap supercharger over just say the word!
-
well why wouldnt it be, they arent checking 6 times the stuff on a new car compared to my E30
-
my guess is the OP is wanting to upgrade from earlier style housings to later style ones, the former using incandesents and the latter using LEDs. for example when people fit E46 M3 taillights to non-M3
-
To be fair, for an out of towner, some of the Auckland on/off ramps are very poorly signposted, and are setup unlike anywhere else in the country. I have no real shame in saying when i have driven in auckland i have started to turn into the wrong direction of traffic before, (luckily) working it out in time. Happened on friday last week when i was driving around.

M50 Vanos to non-Vanos Conversion?
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to _ethrty-Andy_'s topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
should have everything here already got a couple M50s in various states will do some more digging, good to know when time isn't wasted! Dave will give you a call if i get stuck i have your number here still Cheers Lads! -
what a peculiar accident
-
mmm i cant decide if i agree with you or not, looks tits like it is. i think i would run a profile slightly higher if it was mine, but id be happy to have any E3!
-
i feel the weight in the front of my touring over other touing (though havent pedaled a 540i yet), an E30 V12 would be silly, tbh i wouldnt even be that impressed by it, poor engine choice to match the vehicle.
-
and fricken heavy too if they are anything like the ones in an E32 750il with the same features
-
that looks suspiciously V8/V12 rather than M50!

M50 Vanos to non-Vanos Conversion?

cool so all BMW parts bin, nothing custom then? -
you must have gone private!
-
pretty sure i have some rears kicking in the shed, pm me or post a photo up if you want or the part number you want. (oh and Brent if you see this yep vented 540 on wagon)
-
have seen this car, not a bad example at all, wouldn't take too much notice of kms, have seen ones with half that much scruffier
-
Personally think you could have left it for Amber to break the news on Bimmersport. I would be very pissed off if i stacked the E30 and someone saw it and posted it up. Its hard enough to come to the realisation your pride and joy is crashed as it is. Has happened to two of my cars now, though both not as bad as this one, so can feel her pain.
