  1. bit scruffy around the edges and a 320i which is harder to sell at the best of times, probably not too tempting to buy sight unseen at those kms and not much room left to make a margin for someone looking at tidying up to flick off never the less i believe it is still pretty well priced nz new car etc, the bones are still there, and pretty simple to swap a M20B25 in if you so wished, or perfect for an M5x conversion with the 320i Manual parts which are getting quite hard to find these days.
  2. didn't realise the picnic tables and mirrors were available on the SWB it has to be an individual, pretty sure i read somewhere in almost all markets the 750i SWB was special order only.
  3. just another reason to buy a new Audi over a new BMW
  4. dont forget somethings get blown out of proportion on the internet. The V8 rattly chain guides i have seen enough of that i know its a fact, but other things you really need to question. every engine (and car for that matter) ever built by any manufactuter is a piece of crap if you read enough.
  5. towcar needs 2" drop in the front
  6. so yummy one of my favourite BMW engines alongside the S54 needs euro grills asap though... those USA ones are horrible
  7. would have thought the E30 series days are numbered too, with a new car costing 4k before you get in to tarting it up. lord knows its put E30 parts pricing through the roof.
  8. this communication already happens, when you fill the number plate in it will extract the rest of the information from NZTA database. however, it would require an update to NZTA system, not trademes, to do what you want, and i would say that is very unlikely. thats pretty much the system now.
  9. the answer is always no to E65
  10. and the rest, i have known him for 5-6 years, 4-5 of that it hasnt moved, he started before i started my Black M52 Tech2 E30, i dont think you were on the forum back then
  11. cant remember the brand, but they are an italian wheel from the early 80s, more or less a replica of the Ronal Turbo.
  12. plenty on trademe i just checked
  13. yeah dont think they do them any more? you still see plenty of Holden VKs and Mazda 323s with the 90s yellow square, i used to have a couple but sold them long ago.
  14. yeah interior is pretty good, and mechanically is very sound, yep genuine 318iS, M42 manaul etc. Exterior has had better days for sure But his AE86 is his baby, so not much spare change left for the the E30 after that
  15. nah you dont want it. V8s belong in bigger cars
  16. Re vaccum leak, oil seperator issues are pretty common with this engine, I have also been advised by a dealership employee that the lower intake boot is also very common to crack and was later revised, not sure if this was at the change to M54 from M52TU, or later still. about $170 including shipping of parts from pelican and reasonably stright forward. i have just got my stuff arrive.
  17. Edd China and Mike Brewer from Wheeler Dealers would be a better fit, and keep Hammond.
  18. very cool, sits tough on those wheels
  19. lol................. could be done..... at this stage make sure you get some winter pictures of your BMW in the snow!
  20. missed this thread, great news! cant see why the iL appeals in the E38, looks wierd, the i makes more sence
  21. i think everyone would agree the E38 was the last drivers 7 series. share a lot of stuff with the E39, itself a very good car too, facelift 530i motorsport mmmmmmm
  22. Ashkan has one he is looking to sell
  23. understanding what the jargon is for a start, even before getting in to do it for myself would be good.
  24. Okay so i know some of you guys are into switching stuff on and off and changing things around on your BMW's electrical system etc. resetting gauge clusters. syncronising modules. Software updates. etc etc. Have been doing some reading, but it all seems to be a bit too far above my head, there is a missing link somewhere! Like for example i want to know how does one actually communicate with thier BMW? Both in a hardware and software sence. ADS. MAN. ZCS. etc etc what the? anyone got a link to my first baby picture book? This is a realm of the BMW world i have absolutely no knowledge of! Cheers Andy
