  1. sorted it ages ago... ended up with two.. sold the second. have a rear sump setup though.
  2. Penrite is all I use. I pulled the covers on my engine and was greeted by an absolutely beautifully clean pair of cams Compared to when I got the car, amazing.
  3. awesome! I was wondering where this thing got to! I got to meet the owners family and I bet they would've been sad to see it go! the old fella that owned it bought it new in Dunedin, and recently passed away unexpectedly.
  4. Oh f**k, Sorry I totally forgot I was going to dig my spare AFM out for you. I'll do it tomorrow.. and remind me because I'm retarded.
  5. Was linked to this on Facepage. the E30 abuse is excellent, especially the battle with the dirty 190 in it.
  6. I have called three different insurers today, and all 3 have told me that they would simply replace the windscreen, no matter what is in the car with whatever they could get "most economically" and I didn't even tell them what kind of car I had, other than that it was a BMW, which has just got a brand new BMW windscreen. One guy tried to tell me that they replace it for like... this means that if the windscreen has a tint strip it is replaced with another with a tint strip... I then made him clarify this. he then goes off to the claims team who said that it's actually whatever we can get the cheapest, that looks the same. So yes, "for like" my arse. Who else should I call?
  7. M6 Coupe at Cookies, just arrived... Epic colour too.
  8. I think the whack part is the price.
  9. Might not be a bad idea. for everyone's information. it costs $761 Inc GST for a brand new genuine windscreen fitted to an E34 (at CHBMW). Not even that much compared to the premiums I pay. which have obviously been 3-4x more than that in the time I've had the car. Apparently a glazing company told my Insurer genuine windscreens cost $1200 for the part alone and couldn't see how I could get it for less....
  10. Those are huge amounts... not even worth it for an E34 IMO Could probably M62 swap it for the amount the S50 costs.

That is pretty nice for a bus! GLWS, my inner teenager wants me to own one of these. Hope it doesn't get raped
  12. hell yes. and it's a direct fit for you, having an M50 With Vanos.
  13. I think someone on here may still have a 325tds set up that he was planning on putting into an E34... Personally I think an M52B28 or an M50 Stroker would be ideal for an E34. As tourings never came with M30's I don't think I would go down that road.
  14. on the windscreen there will be a code that says DOTxxx and you can look that up and it tells you where and what factory made the screen \ and yeah, glass companies must be getting the kickbacks on this rubbish.
  15. None of those work. I tried. They'll just say their blind assessor says it's EXACTLY The same and made in the same factory. I take it China is part of the UK now. (where new E34 screens are made) It's probably because I have an older car, which is worth less... but f**k them, do it once do it right.
  16. Except your insurance company will be total wankers about it and you'll have to fork out yourself over half the cost of it. Basically Insurance companies in NZ support poor quality repairs and apparent safety issues.
  17. that sounds like cat racisism.
  18. as title.. One was lost due to not being fitted properly. (they pushed it on, and didn't twist it....) Come at me bros.
  19. Had some weird bogan guy shout out at me (had window down) asking if the car was Manual... lol.
  20. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=45216 he has a PFL, M10 breu
  21. Though being the first car he's about to purchase for himself, he's probably not got the money to throw down on a new car. My E34 Touring has 260,000km. Drives like a dream. SLS hasn't failed yet although the camber switch is telling porkies (it actually says in the owners manual that if you get the SUSPENSIONLEVELING error not to drive over 170kph LOL) I have planned that if the SLS fails, I'll throw coilovers in it.. as stock E34 height is a bit... meh. mine is NZ new though. Tourings have lots of annoying as piss issues, like the hatch loom breaking... Personally, I'd get a sedan. M50 Manual or NZ New M50. (for the 525i anyway)
