... we have F1 powerboats for that, no longer can you compete on the basis of the guy with the best technology won? that is how great racing was done, with technology.

seems to me it could be a contact issue, happens all the time with the pumps here at work

Fixed that "dead" lever on the gear lever, squeezed in a new spring. will be taking the centre console apart again, to attach the OBD as well as getting to the heater core, (here's hoping to clear out the coolant smell soon, and here's hoping it's just the o-rings)

fair enough. Attended a Rapid manufacturing seminar by the IPENZ a few months ago, and we saw the knives and titanium equipment meant for the americas cup boats made using laser sintering, from CAD to implementation in just 8 hours. it was amazing, and the butterfly knife was just 2 grams in weight. nearly half the equipment on the boats was done with NZ manufacturing and tech (which has applications everywhere else) So i guess the spill over effect to the tech side is more significant (and more relevant to engineers like myself) in the long run.

Prior to getting my Touring, I was flirting with the starship mileage E60. At the same time, I was looking at a tidy 159 diesel but felt that my alfa owning years have yet to come. This then caught my eye. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/alfa-romeo/159/auction-641973278.htm Holy moly those KMS is the most i have seen of any NZ New Alfa.
