  1. some people have more money than sense... or calm even!
  2. ^ I have noticed that slip too, even though I am low down on power, perhaps time to change belts?
  3. I'm getting around 12-14l/100kms in my mixed driving, 33 km commute with 15kms of highway running. would like to see 9l/100kms but that may just be a pipedream. Running 91 though.
  4. ^ and be a soulless drone of society? I do not think so. Drive a green BMW, it is all safe.
  5. Hay, matey? She said neigh to your un-saddle-ing idea, eh? good luck next time, maybe she should try a horse float.
  6. With the french cars, you just gotta be lucky. We had a piss poor 505SRi in the 90s, was a company car and spent more time in the workshop than with us driving it. The car growled though. Other 505s were awesome though, as they were single owner cars. Moral of the story: Service history and company cars are dogs. Sales reps abuse their vehicles to hell and back. Avoid a sales rep Mondeo. But since it is the 2nd gen mondeo, it should be better as few were here in NZ then.
  7. NZ New Toyotas tend to have stupid crazy prices. I'm having a tough time trying to sell my dad's '99 Windom, which if were a NZ New model, would fetch more than the $4k i am asking for the 148k km single NZ owner car.
  8. wait a minute ... are we talking about the world Mk2 or the american mk2.... And holy! that mileage is worse than my 525i!
  9. the turntable would be nice for those subdivided to postage stamp pieces of land homes here in AKL.
  10. holy moly ... how much do one of those cost to install?
  11. pretty good in Auto form. don't bother with the bigger engines, the 2.0 is all you need. Second Gen? I'd rather the 3rd gen, they are far superior. But i suppose the 2nd gen is still fine.
  12. I still want his rims. they look like 16" eh?
  13. egads! tis gorgeous! especially the colour!
  14. Still Bleeding the car today ... air is getting in to the system somehow... wonder if it is the heater core...
  15. Can we count on you being the go to BMW in West Auckland? ( I have heard that westies have no bimmerphile mechanics.)
  16. Some were assembled in South Africa, Germany for LHD models.
  17. a lot of their "too heavy" comments deal with the fact that their own cars are overboosted in the steering department... and the fact those drivers have dainty muscles.
  18. that mad nut. I have 3 cars on sale at the moment and almost all of them have watchers... none of them bid but that isn't cause to be pissed off?
  19. That's a brilliant idea! International politics will ensure this never happens though.
  20. Welcome Jason! .. So you got that one? haha! I had my eyes and heart set on that for my dad, but you got it before I could offer the chap! Congratulations and enjoy the ride!
  21. ^ yes indeed ... but that does mean I'll be missing out on modifying it to a diesel
  22. Avoid VTNZ in Chch. They are linked up with the nearby garages. Bloody worms. Find an independent. They are better. Rex Price was the guys I used, on Winston Ave up in Papanui, near the library.
