Just digging this up as I just got a couple of these RE002 (245/40/17) few days ago, thought I'll put some comments on this. I only put 2x on to replace the back tyres, it is SOOOO quiet I thought I've got a different car. Now I can hear the (factory) exhaust when I put my foot down. (*LIKE*) Now that the back is so quiet, I can't wait to replace the front in a few weeks. Grip is good, hasn't done anything too crazy yet as the tyres are still breaking-in. Driving-wise feel the same as the Goodyear GS-D3 that I had before, no complains there.

I agree. That's a Cyclo polisher. Apparently as used on the Air Force One (the plane).

^ a very fast beetle nonetheless.

Very good day, the Formula 5000 cars wasn't my thing but my god the noise was incredible! My photo set... http://flic.kr/s/aHsjycjmVk Edit: added link

Is that a CLK AMG Black Edition?

I reckon the FBI is just using megaupload.com to get to those people and is probably not busting them for the file sharing, but instead busting them for money laundering, arms trading, terrism plot, etc... once extradited.

Doing the same for my car, maybe a quick polish wax too.

Can't wait this Saturday.

Brembo and AP first comes to mind. You can talk to RaceBrakes on New North Road for advice, but if you read their website, there is no need for upgrade for road car unless it goes to track a lot to justify the cost.

I have them in my car now. I can't compare to those made in other countries, while mine are good handling and sticky, but they are NOISY!

Do the fluids while you are at it if you don't know when it was done last time. It can makes quite a difference. Edit: typo

+1 for genuine BMW filter. or K&N panel replacement only if you will wash and re-oil them carefully as needed.

I think they are the Hiace ZX rather than ZL. All the ZX are hi-top and longer, not too sure about being wider though.

Only closed from Lincoln onwards West-bound or Brigham Creek for East bound (include Westgate/Hobsonville on-ramp), so it's still OK for St Lukes, Rosebank and Te Atatu. But, avoid where you can.

Those of you still with old boxy CRT TVs and Computers

Council's inorganic collection still takes them. -
Trademe is now flooded with used newish camera just after the holidays. I am a Nikon man, for your price you can get a D3100 kit. Try get something with a 18-105 lens if you can. Much more versatile than a standard 18-55 lens. If you go with Canon, then their 17-85 is a nice upgrade over their standard lens. Lens is more important the the body and unlike the body, they tends to keep their value.

I remembered when I had my e36, I downsized the tired from 225/50/16 to 205/55/16 (both are approved factory size on factory rims, btw) but buy higher grade tyres. I found the car handles transformed into more agile and responsive with just as much grip. Even gained a bit of fuel economy too. Wider tyre is not always better.

TopGear is getting boring. Sure, there are a few good moments but maybe they are starting to run out of ideas or places to go.
-
I second that. Go for a lighter coloured wood or the silver cube M-sport trims.

How do I tell if my tyres are stressed or failing?

Maybe a GTR in terms of performance. Two less doors though. Perhaps a Merc E55/E63 ?

I recall an email recently from Team McMillan saying they are selling Mechanical Insurance. Worth a try checking with them.
