Yea, I spent time with my wife's family and friends, and the division was really strong even between the family members, and between the friends. One family member told another family member that they couldn't borrow the car anymore if they voted democrat. I've been to the US five times in the last 14 years, and its never felt like this before.

I was just back there visiting family, and you can feel how divided the country is. Not as bad as the media makes out, but definitely noticeable.

I've just come back from a few weeks in the states and I enjoyed the cheap parts and even cheaper shipping. We left NZ with two bags, and returned with four.

Oh, the irony. -
If you already have a shell in good condition I would not bother. You already have the m3 rear end if I remember correctly, and there is not much difference between the shells. Some m3's had aluminium doors and bootlids I think.

I wonder why it was stripped? So sad.

Changed the diff fluid in my daily and the wifes car. Expected the fluid to be dirtier than what it was after 200k and 135k. New fluid on the right, 200k fluid on the left.

It was a sales gimmick to try and make it sound like the car required less maintenance and service costs. No oil is life time, and bmw even stated later that 'lifetime' meant 100,000 miles (160,000 kms). Most people recommend changing the oil before this. Every 100,000 kms is a good interval.

Was this an aftermarket bumper?

Demontweaks in Wales is the cheapest you will find anywhere.

What turned out to be the fault with the ecu, and how hard was it to fix?

Yea, the minister for war suggested I postpone spending any more money till after our holiday, so doing the trans and diff maintenance on both cars will have to wait a couple of months.

I get all that, but he just wants to sell his wheels.
