    E36 328I Track Car

Looks great too. Cant wait for the dyno results!
  2. I wonder if its a vanos fault or a vacuum leak? Scanning it with good gear and an experienced mechanic (like Glenn for example) should diagnose the problem. Then you will be able to either get more money for the car, or be able to sell it quicker.
  3. Have you had it scanned by someone with a decent scanner?
  4. So is the revving thing sorted? What was the fault?
  5. I hope you document the progress on here
  6. Yikes, give us the full story.
  7. That sux Brent. Its good only the cars were hurt and not any people. Cant be many e46 330i wagons in black left in nz now I wouldn't think.
  8. NOW SOLD e46 m3 rear calipers, pads and ventilated and drilled discs. Also comes with backing plates, brake shoes and nuts and bolts.Calipers and pads in good condition but discs will need skimming or replacing. Discs are 328mm x 20mm, and the calipers have 42mm pistons. $100
  9. Including parts and refilling, maybe around $600 to $700? I replaced everything though, including all filters, seals, orings and belts.
  10. What do you want out of a stereo? Sound quality / volume / features / connectivity / gps etc etc etc If you can be more specific we can help you better
  11. Awesome work! Did you keep the templates for the strengthening plates - I would be keen to build my own. Are you strengthening other areas as well, like the front subframe around the engine mounts and the rear trailing arm mounting points?
  12. Great work. Did you use the e46 fuel pump and fuel filter, or was it not strong enough?
  13. What model Eonon did you get, and what is the sound quality like?
  14. Personally I like the stock look, but if money wasn't an object I'd get a Dynavin. Not sure on the price but there might be a second hand one out there somewhere?
  15. The aerials and windscreen stuff are for automatic payment at toll roads in Japan. Usually there is other stuff behind the dash as they use a prepaid payment card in a card reader to pay for the tolls. I ripped all mine out and its much cleaner now. If you can afford it the dynavin is a very good unit.

    New The 5er (G30)

Pretty sure it will automatically brake to stop you hitting the object. Happened to a guy I know in a new merc. He got distracted while driving on the motorway in the rain and the computer stopped him rear ending a slow car that pulled out in front of him.
  17. Valve stem seals can be done with the engine still in the car by using compressed air though the spark plug hole but its a bit tricky and you cant inspect the valve seats.
  18. Valve stem seals are much easier to do with the heads off, and compulsory if you are to inspect/regrind the valve seats. Do it once, do it right.
  19. Yea, surprised they applied the oil to the bore by hand. I would have thought they would use gloves to avoid contamination. And not a torque wrench in sight lol!
  20. Great videos Brent. Can you give us more details on the car?
  21. So how does it perform? Can you give us a 0-100 time?
