  1. Thanks Brent, but don't want a deregistered one. Be great to see you at the coffee and cars event if you come - Coner is bringing the e36 that hes been polishing.
  2. How much for whole car, and has it been deregistered?
  3. Bring it along to the next coffee meet pleeeeeeeeaaaaaseeee
  4. I was fortunate enough to get a drive of this when Conor did the test drive, and it was maaaaad. I can only imagine what it was like with the supercharger. I like the new wheels - I prefer them to the ones Brent had on it.

    318i coupe

That is awesome. What hp are you getting?
  6. I'm not a paint expert, but I would definitely not use rattle cans. Do it once, do it right.
  7. I would advise spraying the polished wheels with clear coat once you have finished.
  8. Some electric harley davidsons have a speaker that emits an exhaust note. Lame as.
  9. A lot of american cars from the 1970s did that too. I remember one dodge truck where they actually had some kind of massive fan unit connected to the exhaust. It was terrible. Removing it saved heaps of weight and freed up more horsepower.
  10. So the info on Brents trademe ad is for a different car? I'm confused?
  11. Good point about the cert. I've emailed the seller to ask him to put up a pic of the cert plate (if it has one). But yea - look at Brents car. Pros; Bigger engine Lower kms 3 years newer Owned by an enthusiast Probably doesn't have shitty 'sunny' brand tyres like the other one. Cons; Interior not as nice Both are better than a mazda
  12. Anyone else got a view on this, as I'm curious too......
  13. That place seems to have mixed reviews; http://www.nocowboys.co.nz/businesses/ellerslie-automotive I would avoid them at all costs.
  14. Going from a e46 330i to a e87 or e90 with a N46 motor is a backwards step in my opinion. The N42/N43/N45/N46 series motors were terrible. I'm having to rebuild the head on my N46 after only 130k - many fail much sooner than that. In contrast the six cylinder engines are beautiful.

    Work Experience

Hi Glenn, I might have someone in mind - are you offering anything in the way of wages?

    yay or nay?

Personally I like the ones on the front.
  17. What kind of hp are you getting from the new motor? Has it been dyno'ed yet?

    leather or not

I have an e46 with leather and an e46 with cloth. I prefer the leather - I find it more comfortable. I also highly recommend heated seats.
  19. Something to aspire to eh Suresh? Have you touched your turbos yet?
  20. When i needed something tricky I got something from a hydraulic hose company. A quick google gave me this but there will be more options; http://www.hydraulink.com/products/product-catalogue/family/?id=0927ddc2-6391-4b5d-8c37-5055ea85290e
  21. Don't forget that the $1450 doesn't include the panel beating and painting of the front door and front guard, as insurance paid for that.
  22. Ok, for $1452 I would definitely not be settling for that quality of workmanship. I'm surprised they are an insurer authorized repairer.
  23. What a terrible job, and what a terrible response from the 'manager'. How much did you pay for this?
