Thanks! That's significantly cheaper! EDIT: Do you have any contact details? My google fu is not up to scratch on finding him
-
I'll take that as a compliment. To back you up, I don't know anyone else my age driving an E28 (especially not a *cough* grandpa *cough* spec one)
-
If you don't mind me asking, how much roughly did it cost for the driver's seat? I got quoted $750+GST per seat...
-
I was born in 96... Apparently, I'm a member of "iGen" according to that article. (sent from a PC and not my iPhone )
-
@treone who'd you get to fix your seats?
-
What unicorn boxes does it tick? Because to me non msport e39's on standard wheels are a bit too pedestrian.
-
People buying BMWs that arguably shouldn't be wrecked and then trying to sell parts for exorbitant prices. It's like they got it round the wrong way, wreck the ok ones to keep the crap on the road.
-
@gtstarped has/had some recently
-
Assuming you're meaning for putting one in an E28, just a standard manual 535i driveshaft.

328ci 2000 nz new manual , black on black

Nice M535i hiding in the background -
I'd be erring towards simple mistake, as it's small details (ignoring the glaringly obvious lack of body kit), not missing two cylinders and a cam in the 318i -> m3 example
-
In addition to my earlier comment. AKA proof I know too much about E28s... As for the not genuine, it's not a genuine M535i, just a well spec'd 535i. Reasons for this: No Mtech Body Kit Sports seat option (standard equipment on M535i) Wrong model code (DC32) Non-Shadowline tail lights Chrome bumpers front and rear (M535i's don't have Chrome bumpers) Has a front valance (M535i's have none)
-
Ignoring the fact I know the seller and what he purchased it for... It's not even a genuine M535i...
-
Thanks for the advice everyone. Thankfully managed to remove most of the sap by washing it.
-
What I was meaning is that due to the large amount of contaminants is that I'd likely need two clay bars. And I don't want to spend $160 on two autoglym ones when I could buy just the bar for $17 from UCC
-
That might be the go. But where's the best place to buy one?
-
@Olaf, I know is a silly question, but how does that compare to say some clay from United car care, repco or super cheap? (Assuming they sell it) My primary use will be removing sap, the clear coat is pretty sad, hence I suspect I might need a lot of clay.
-
Hi Team, looking for a clay bar(s) for my e28, yes the entire car. So I might need a lot of clay bar and don't really want to spend too much. Going for quantity over quality, but still good enough, if that makes sense. I already have wash and polish. @Barryn, since you own an e28 and are very well versed in detailing? EDIT: happy to pay more if it makes the process easier and/or quicker
-
Took the E28 for a WOF, flew through (once they figured out how to open the bonnet). Promptly took it for a drive and couldn't help but take a couple of photos.
-
Welcome back! How about a 525e instead
-
Where'd you manage to find a copy? I'd like to buy one. And having seen a couple of blackbirds IRL they are an awesome piece of machinery
-
Would also be interested in red tails. As long as they're not factory orange, and preferably LED
-
Hi Team, looking for the best place to buy preferably new MSport/Clear LED (where applicable) lights for my 2002 330CI. Would Schmiedmann be my best bet, or does someone happen to have some hiding away? I'd prefer new because my current boot tail lights are falling apart... NB: I have clear indicators already, I just need to fit them.
-
Washed the e46 and I'm currently in the middle of swapping the e28 fuel filter and putting the exhaust back on. As you can see it was definitely due for a change.

E61 Touring 545 almost complete vehicle $2500 (Damaged)

@Olaf don't make me look up how hard it is to put in an e46 or e28. Though I'd almost be tempted to fix it. Or just go all out an turn this into a race car
