an affinity for product from that sociopathic company that brought you excessive levels of oxides of nitrogen, and other emissions maladies... may predispose one to the understeering option!
  2. yeah you'll likely meet more forum members here - on the forum - than dragging them away from this community to a smaller FB page. We've been working things up around here... just come along to the meetups.

that's really, really, sharp. great engineering. and the details. 340i - uber-cool. You'll be needing a place to keep that, down here. Looking forward to photographing this one in the flesh! Well done, Jeremy.
  4. excellent write up, Graham. that's an awesome looking shed you have now!

if you've still got it next week, I'll come and take a look. I'm thinking the 'spare BMW' thing is probably a good thing. this fits the bill. I'll be up in Auckualofa.
  6. welcome, Matt! an e39 Touring for a bag a sand? brilliant. what a bargain. used to be one round the corner from me with a cool paekakariki decal on the back window, that I always admired. subscribe (follow) to the Wellington meetings room, the guys in Kapiti are organising a cars and coffee meetup (regularly?), and we get a coffee meet or road trip organised from time to time. Don't be shy, anyone can organise something! Look forward to catching you soon.
  7. wondered if it was yours that Jon posted on FB last week. Good news.
  8. I reckon I know what you'll be working on this long weekend, then! Something blue and shiny?
  9. Just the thing for a damp-ish Wellington morning...
  10. Looks nice mate! It may not be as bad as you think; could be as benign as a coil. V8 and four wheel drive - cool!
  11. you'll be needing a price on here, surely.
  12. yep, if you've an ex-Japan vehicle the nav system is different to europe. the solutions for conversion of the Japan spec systems were developed in niu zild, and remain propriety. Call Auto Gravity.
  13. I Got rid of the anti-fog on the outside of my windscreen. Yesterday I cleaned, polished, and then rain-x'd it, ahead of this week's rain. I think it's time for new blades.
  14. D'oh! thanks mate. re-engaging brain. I thought "this car's on TM" meant 'this car' - the topic of the discussion.
  15. it's done 183,000kms best avoid, leave it for treone! He needs one of these.
  16. No, but to me it looks very attractive. If the service history is solid and the price is right, PPI from a good independent or BMW dealer and bingo - you'll be in M5 heaven.
  17. Hang on Kyu, you missed the "if he sold it for under $20k then he must be an idiot" option. ? err I'll get me coat then..

    Quick rant thread.

indeed, that's something that TradeMe has lacked for more than a decade: a decent search engine.

    Quick rant thread.

TradeMe is an Australian company now, only place to complain is amongst themselves!
  20. e38 740i engine needs rebuild and scratched paintwork, according to seller. For less than the cost of your wedding suit... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1291208650.htm
  21. great news, John. Hopefully cresting this puts you in the position you were expecting, with BMW handing and the power you sought. Kind of sad the 535i e60 didn't make an appearance in NZ or Japan, I think that power plant in the e60 Chassis would be a fun thing for us boost-heads! Hope to see you on the next roadie.
