    Octane boosters

I find in my area BP is a rip off for premium but mobil is very reasonable, last fill up was 2.08 for 98 and 186 i think for 91 and the local BP is usually 35c between 91 and 98
  2. Both my m62 cars had broken ones they were $1.0USD each from US suppliers at the time, 10 seconds on ecstuning gave me this, $1.17 each you may need different ones for m60? Ask someone placing an order to chuck 2 of these in. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-uro-parts/oil-filter-housing-rubber-mount/11421436982~uro/
  3. the formatting on chrome shows the $50 hidden halfway down the picture on the side, not where it is on mobile
  4. This somehow looks worse than when we bolted marley guttering under the sills of a mates shitter subaru and made giant wheel arches out of thin bending ply as a joke. The batman logo front bolt on monstrosity looks like something a 12 year old would draw, not to mention all the bits look super wavy and bumpy. I would hazard a guess it was very rough fibreglass totally coated in bog and poorly hand sanded to make it look like that.

    IFH-0009 Error

Had the steering wheel lock issue on a mates car, we replaced battery and had it coded to car and it never came back. Just googled it as i remember reading something about 06/07 models. Im not familiar with tool32 but perhaps you only removed the icon and not the issue so car still refuses to start as it believes steering is locked. I would suggest if you are going to continue to DIY that you download and install ISTA+ and rescan for issues. FYI it's a common issue on the 06 and early 07 models. In mid-07, BMW stopped putting locks in the steering columns (for reasons unrelated to this problem). Apparently, this problem has to do with the electronic lock power draw when starting the car, and a software update normally fixes the problem. If the software update does not work, BMW replaces the steering column.
  7. Techno violet and Laguna seca Depends hugely on the car model though. Ive seen e39’s in both techno violet and laguna seca and it didn’t look right. E36 look great in TV and e46 +f13 look great in LSB
  8. Interesting i had a similar experience years ago, had a pre purchase inspection done and the headlight pattern was off on one side. Shop owner told me it was a bad aftermarket headlight and i needed to buy one from him for $1000 or something. I just flicked the lhd, rhd lever on the headlight which fixed the pattern. Dude just walked off after that lol.

    Quick rant thread.

Its the quick rant thread, looks like a rant to me.
  10. We brought in parts for manufacturing facilities and I never saw one for the part itself, i.e large rotating assemblies came with oil and grease or occasionally for a coating SDS but nothing specific to the part.
  11. I used to deal with these for work, I cant imagine you will find one for an engine. They are particular to hazardous substances so you cant disprove hazardous with one, as if it isnt hazardous or atleast wouldnt seem hazardous to a person, it wont have one. It would be hilarious to read one though Hazard type: heavy Skin exposure: will squash you Eye exposure: will squash them. Exposure limits: depends how nice the engine is... Mobility in soil: limited We only ever had SDS for liquids and lubricants contained in machiney and perhaps handling instructions like 'do not invert' on a seperate document.
  12. Bosch probably manufactured the genuine one. check ECStuning, pelicanparts and FCP euro to see if any cheaper.
  13. I expect a project thread. Other ideas include, using any x drive bmw with rear drive connect to a rotary cutting mechanism instead of rear wheels.
  14. If its got synchros and you dont need to double clutch its an auto...
  15. Its a honda jazz, you cant fool me
  16. I picked up the report in person, service tech confirmed it was 13k and not 1.3k. I think that might actually be better than the $3000 dollar quote I just got from MB for 2 control arms (not installed just parts). Its atleast a decent sized item and was an installed price.
  17. Also if fire melted wiring it could have been quoted as whole new wiring loom for car when a wrecker could cut and splice. New main looms can have massive labour costs.
  18. I had a pre purchase inspection done on a bmw x3 a few years back at auckland BMW. I asked them to quote any recommended repairs and they sent me a quote for $19000 dollars. $13,000 Was new headlining I sh*t you not, it was sagging and had nicotine stains. I imagine if they took it to the dealer they could have gotten an astronomical quote for fire damage and smoke contamination.
  19. Anybody do a FCPeuro or ECStuning order? experience? PM if you dont want to post. Got quoted $3000 for two lower control arms for the c63 from MB nz and I have to wait for them to ship from singapore. MB NZ didnt even offer to take me out to dinner before they tried to f**k me. They are unreasonably expensive as there is no OEM item available (just lower control arms all the rest are normal prices) but still US sites are selling the genuine parts for $1400 NZ shipped.
  20. Adrian van Hooydonk is the man responsible for the grills. Side note: If anyone goes over to Germany to slap him, please do me a solid and detour to the AMG factory and also slap the guy that put 20 bolts on a 3 piece engine underbody tray with no oil service flap.
  21. I want a fiat multipla so bad, its just so ugly that i must have it. Triple front seat is so practical. Ive decided im going to buy one.
  22. I see your ugly e36 and raise you one convertible beauty
