  1. @Contrails that yellow one being a bit of a mutt could be a good candidate for an S54 swap or something similarly awesome and sacreligious.
  2. E30 you have these options I believe: Front - 3mm lower and 3mm and 9mm upper. Rear 5/7.5/10 or any combo really and E36/E46 pads look essentially the same.
  3. As above, auto plus loud exhaust = fail. Just take it to any muffler / exhaust shop and get them to install a no-brand 'sports' muffler and see how you like it. If you want it louder you can go back and get resonators removed. A muffler delete will sound like arse.
  4. It has a little plus inflation / interest rates, but the only M325i that hasn't shifted in the blink of an eye in the last 12 months or so is the Silver Tech 1 dealer flip that was asking $70k now asking $60k - clearly too high. Mtech1 is very rare and Black is THE colour for a lot of people.

@adro your ride height looks basically perfect, nice and even side to side? Mine is almost 10mm lower on the driver side - after I put my 16's on I'll measure my hub to arch on four corners then add spring pads to raise a little / even out (have 3mm and 9mm front shims and some 6mm rear pads to try).

    Quick rant thread.

This Auckland place sounds like a shithole, I must be living on the right side of the bridge. Closer to the Equator too 😃

    E32 750iL Bargain?

Could get a 33% down payment on an E30 with 33% of the cylinders 😂 Awesome value for someone with some cojones.
  8. Thank you! I've been driving it heaps lately and loving it
  9. Found a buddy today in Britomart - beautiful 318i 2 door in a stunning, rare (but not captured at all in this crappy pic) Mineralblau.
  10. Went for $18K, seems a little low but does not sound as it was as tidy as it looked in pics. Some nice bits on it, I want the interior.
  11. Saw this one in manual yesterday too - pretty cool cars! https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-3518837638.htm
  12. Thank you! They certainly seem well finished - a little heavier (1kg) than genuine lightweight Alpina's but not complete boat anchors and TUV certified for peace of mind. The centre cap does not have a lock, rather a rubber gasket and push-in clip fit, plus an allen screw hidden under the little cover to have them completely secured.
  13. Exciting day today, would have been much more exciting if my tyres were not 3 weeks away though!
  14. Good E30 325i owner fap material - amazing to see it keep up with a 340i (tyres make such a difference).
  15. What's the plan @E28E30??? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/3519284731
  16. Yup - the guy is very responsive and customer focus - works through paypal and ships via DHL. Was $700 landed including shipping - not cheap, but a better looking option than the Blaupunkt SQR46 IMO.
  17. Can get the guy to custom program any 8 characters you want for the bluetooth input - pretty sweet!
  18. Yeah, loving it - it looks totally at home in the dash works perfectly and sounds pretty good even with my unknown (stock??) front components and 20 year old 6x9s. Have amp pre-outs if I eventually run out of other things to spend money on too. Shipping and communication has been great too - he actually sent me a free microphone grill / plug that looks cool in the dash (it is a slightly different surface that makes it look a little lighter but not obvious in the flesh) and makes Bluetooth calls easy and clear too.
  19. Great combo, shame the M4 didn’t back in
  20. Damn, a Tech 1 and a Tech 2 #goals
  21. Damn @Olaf you have my sensible dream garage - F25 / E46 runabout and a Lachs E30 2 door 👌
  22. $3,500 I would be looking at a mid 2000's Mazda Axela / 3. Good reliable practical cars, if a little boring.
  23. Luckily I don't do too many miles in the thirsty E30 - chuck $50 of premium in every few weeks and its all good. Wife advised however it was $190 to fill the even thirstier Audi today which was a bit of a shock - I do have a work fuel card but don't like to thrash it too much, especially mainly working from home these days. Maybe a modern small displacement turbo for her next - PHEV would be nice but we only have one off street park and that is for the E30.
