  1. Yota for life. With some BMWs in-between
  2. Hayyyyy, Don't forget I drive the *soarer UZZ32 hydraulic suspension, version. They give an E46 M3 a run for their money handling wise. No springs, no sway bars just hydraulic computer controlled rams in each corner, with a multitude of sensors, 4 wheel steering, coupled with a faster than normal front steering rack. It's a joy to drive. Nearly as quick with the new 4.3 V8 motor I dropped in too, torque for dayys! Wouldn't bother with standard coil sprung Soarer, they are boats. Keep in mind I sold my long time E36 V8 project with M3 suspension to buy it as they are super rare. I'll never sell this! <3
  3. Those tacky wooden wheels are a 00s Lexus thing. Not a good look in a BMW imo
  4. I've driven a standard 328i convertible, kinda cool, but when you push them on our crappy roads, ughh, scuttle shake!! Good nice road cruiser with power and style however, if you like showing your bald patch around the resurfaced roads of Auckland City...
  5. It's a shame these don't sound more V8 like, eg AMG twin turbo or RS twin turbo v8s Oh well. Not like I can afford any of them
  6. Haha you change your mind too often! No S65 for the red M3? I rather like this, looks like quite an easy swap with the clearly shared platform dimensions. May as well get more out off the somewhat forgotten 1 series hatch. Going to cage it or anything for track use or just make it a sleeper on the road?
  7. I'd pay less for a vert over a coupe personally. Just seems like a catch 22 having an E36 with all the goodies, then no roof so it's floppy and you can't drive in the same way you can a coupe.
  8. Big hatch backs are just a big no no!
  9. That plate kinda makes a stupid statement. Like yes 'M' brake horse power.... doesn't have the same ring as M Power. but like at least it would be cooler if it was 398BHP, the actual quoted figure for that car etc.
  10. Parents car. Of course I made them get a Lexus haha Dad wasn't keen on the look or fact the newer BMWs were turbo, he just felt it was more to go wrong.
  11. Certainly. The manual is just the more fun experience.
  12. FS: $6250 Good example of an NZ New 330i Sedan. We are the second owners for the past 2 years having bought it from a friend that purchased it brand new. Has been well serviced and drives very nicely. Serpentine idler bearings getting a little squeak, and the engine mounts seem to transmit more vibration than they should, so there's some km related things that need to be done. Water pump and cooling system changed about 6 months ago. (Genuine products used) 203,xxxkms Sport seats Motorsport kit Sporty seats Firmer, lower OEM suspension. Would be keeping it but we just bought a Lexus IS350 to replace it.
  13. Well it makes the 6.25k auto 330i I'm selling seem well priced. It's in much better condition too!
  14. Yeah, seems any station with ethanol blends state such on the pump labels. You'd just hope such was accurate and up to date!
  15. Good to hear. I was thinking of taking the car to them, did you wait while they did the job, approx how long did it take?
  16. Lol, manual = 80% premium
  17. Yeah they strike me as being less desirable than the older more proven models. Give me an E34 or E39 M5 over a well used E60 M5 anyday of the week. Between the SMG, and highly strung V10 along with all the E60 complications, they aren't as easy to live with than the 90s models. This will mean their value will keep dropping, good bargain for some, nightmare for others.
  18. Cool concept. Would make for a fun project to build an E46 with a nice V8.
  19. For those having had their front window replaced, where did you take your car? Need to get mine done via insurance. Standard places they use are AA autoglass, Novus and Smith and Smith. Heard bad things about Smith and Smith so just wanting to see where people have had first hand good experiences. Don't want poor workmanship / seals leaking!
  20. Where do you even get those haha?
  21. I think this is like saying is the carbureted engine dead? Having seen manufactures move to EFI over the last 30 years. While they don't make them anymore there's still a huge following for those older era cars with such, and specialists that rebuild them etc. Factory NA cars may disappear from showroom floors, but the good ones will get a cult following stronger than ever before.
  22. Whats the engine mounting like with these in an E46? I gather you'll have to do a fair bit of sump work?
  23. Did you get the LCI version? They look considerably sharper than the non LCI models.
