  1. Are those factory engine colours?
  2. Hmm that might work, just need anything that can regulate to around 44 to 50psi, so 3 bar will just do it. Just putting the 3uz 4.3 V8 into my Soarer. 20% more power, 23% more torque over the original engine.
  3. As soon as you put the newer Z4 next to this these older ones look pretty dated, that front end, ugh. Both quirky cars though
  4. My new engine has a return-less fuel rail setup, so I need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a gauge so I can set it between 44-51psi as per factory specs. The car I'm putting it in run a return fuel system, and the donor engine, runs the regulator in the fuel tank - hence my dilemma Any recommendations on where in NZ I should look for such a part? Don't want any of those over priced brands the drift kids use, or any of that, just something that's reputable but not cheap junk. This is my intention: From this return-less setup, To this
  5. Yeah thats considerably over priced. Would have to be flawless for that kind upper range coin. Drivers white leather seat lets you know its a well used car.
  6. I agree, I'm annoyed Chris is wasting himself on that show. Primarily because he has to act and play cool to fit in with what the producers / directors want. Rather than being himself which is why he is so well liked. Obviously the dollars were impossible to resist, which is fair enough.
  7. Yeah I was gonna say that. 6.0 Version of the M117..... 385hp! Too bad they only made like 50 of these
  8. That 560sec looks awesome. Last of the old school Mercedes.
  9. I'd import some magnaflow stuff via ebay. Plenty of options and its good quality gear without being ripped off.
  10. Did you weld in the rear chassis to subframe plates?
  11. That is an excellent looking example. Colour works so well.
  12. Fairly bold, subjective statement Id say its one of the sexiest cars of the period. Plenty of other competition was available at the time, and in most cases were selling for half the price. All coupe / 2 doors with their own unique style and qualities, eg: Porsche 928 GTS - V8 Jaguar XJS-R - V12 Lexus SC400 - V8 SL500 / SL600 - V8 / V12 560SEC - V8 Honda NSX - V6 Sounds like an ideal collection to be honest
  13. I glued straight over the fabric. Tricky to do, but it came up well. Didn't ever get pictures but looked factory. It was a leathery texture satin finish, so had those slight cracks / lines in it for extra depth. Got a roll from Trade Me.
  14. Brand new $160 Magnaflow Catalytic converter Model 54906, Offset shape Spun style, stainless steel 200 per square inch Ceramic matrix Measurements: Inlet / Outlet ID 2.5" 64mm Body length 10.5" 266mm Ceramic core length 4" 100mm Body diameter 4" 100mm Made in USA
  15. Spray painting isn't really a good idea, I did this on my E36 but as soon as something gets on it and you touch it, or clean the rear window and bump the trim it will mark. I ended up wrapping it with black vinyl, a much more practical repair that can be wiped clean since its a place that dust builds up, especially if you have the windows down.
  16. Better off spending the same kinda money on an M coupe!
  17. I would rather have Dave's original car
  18. When you sit at the lights and hear that 4 pot diesel chatter, you'll regret not buying the Inline 6.
  19. Cool cool. Just these ones, which I think you're aware of. Trailing arm pockets Also the mounts for sway bars on the rear like to go if pushed, you can reinforce them like so
  20. Good stuff. Don't forget to weld up any cracks and weld in E36 M3 subframe reinforcement mounting points, especially if you're going to go for poly mounts. Cracks are going to happen in all E36s, happened to mine, happened to various friends cars. If you don't this is generally what happens,
  21. The spelling and grammar of the current seller is quite worrying. 52 years in the dealer trade? Interesting...
  22. I have a 1UZ engine mount kit to suit e36. $99
