Do you live around Onehunga/One Tree Hill? Pretty sure I've seen this parked up / you driving it, looks very clean & original - certainly caught my eye!

Hey lads, Looking at getting a set of tyres soon, currently running Nitto Invos which I find very capable when pushed. Looking at high performance road tyres, so been thinking of Michelin Pilot Sport 3s for my 17x8" rims My folks car has these PS3s and it seems very capable on them (330i), quite similar grip on the open road to my Invos and only start to let go when really been pushed on sharper corners. Anyone else had good experience on PS3s? Or found a better alternative? (Keep in mind Super sports are a no go being 18" plus) Given my car has very crisp response with the sway bar-less hydraulic active suspension setup I want some thing that has a sporty stiff side wall and is good with the initial turn in response to coincide with the suspensions ability. The other option I've read good things about are the RE003s. Let me know your experience / thoughts! Cheers in advance.

Holy wow burger. Massive improvement. Wish I had alcantara so I could just get you to clean it

So wise 338hp is enough for anyone Plus at least you get to actually use ALL the power by reving right out to go fast. Can't do that with the new age turbo cars, they have too much torque & power so you're pushed beyond safe limits too quickly, less fun IMO, especially when you have to lift off As they say, less is more!

Mmm carbon roof, recaros. When will the fun end!! Maybe put a different engine under the hood? jk

What can you do with M43B19s? Ive always been stumped why they only make 118hp / 180nm (reasonable torque at least) Can you get decent HP out of them, with basic NA mods and a reflash? I mean compared to Toyota/Honda 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0L they are a good 50hp down.

Very nice Brent. You and your E28s. As bad as me an my Z30s

Awesome, this is coming a long beautifully Worth having a look at, I love seeing what people get up to at a proper level. Nice to see your also in Auckland

yeah 2000/9 was the update according to the parts databases. Different lights / grille / bumper etc
-
ICE exhaust noises. Life is not worth living without them. This video nicely explains

Welcome. Late 1999 build according to your VIN number. 2000 / Sept got the updated headlights and grille it seems.

If possible I would strongly suggest to keep the M3, a 335i is never going to be an E46 M3. Totally different feel / vibe from the ground up being developed at different times by BMW. Having driven both cars on a number of occasions the M3 E46 was the last older style raw car they made and with a high level of quality inside and out. The 335i generation feels more more appliance based, has the feeling of being built to a stricter cost. Another obvious point is a genuine M car vs non M car - quite a different package. Then again, you were after a touring so I guess it's for practicality reasons?

YES YES YES YES YES Finally Dave!

This thread should just be killed, its so out of date.

Those rear tyres look suspiciously undersized for those rims. Who lists a car with only two photos of the same side as well, where are all the other exterior shots, interior and engine bay? Some of the worst mistakes sellers make is poorly representing what they are trying to sell. They instantly make it harder for themselves.
-
Thats sweet. Should be fun!
-
Dear god, this is like when people try sell their own homes on Trade Me. Some can do it, others fail miserably
-
Would be good with original chrome grille and wheels back to correct colour. Otherwise not bad at all.
-
looks great. Drive, maintain, enjoy
-
Perfect design, love that graceful curve on the drivers side. PS, Good to have a brief catch up today!

Has anyone seen the new carjam history report section. https://www.carjam.co.nz/about-report/ Claims to provide history from Japan for odometer records, past owners and other stuff like accident damaged etc. For $46.40 hard to know if its worth it. Has anyone used this service on their Japan import cars?

A call is a good way to express how serious you might be too. Whenever I've been selling stuff and people text, rather than call they are typically time wasters

In my years of tinkering with cars, one thing I've learned is you should never make a road car too track like Have a road car and Have a track car Or else you're just compromising, and end up with an awkward, impractical and annoying car to use thats too harsh for our crappy public roads.

Pretty obvious its a cover on a M52 engine... Hardly 'mutton dressed as lamb' this is a particularly nice looking E36 Ti, would go very well too.
