That seems to me like environmental or handling damage done to the instrument cluster it's self I'd gladly take a look at the unit at no cost to suggest what could be done. I'm in Auckland, Ellerslie so welcome to stop by over the weekend if suitable.

Would be fun Cage planned?

Orange wheels usually suggest a questionable owner, thus you must question whether or not they had the best intentions for the car I'd hesitate to buy it

Awesome. Should make for a fun experience.

E36 Suspension. Which route to take!?
Michael. replied to Arborguy's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
I would run factory M3 3.2 evo stuff, all new where applicable. Sporty and comfortable. Can't go wrong. -
M60 heads on a 4.4 block would be fun. Do you run a geared sprocket in the middle of the block or has it gone to the U shaped guide? What type of s/c are you using - Im assuming a centrifugal unit?

When people try to talk up their cars on false details "M3-spec" http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1104250951.htm

Soooo what happened, bearing scores on the crank ?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1107045746.htm Look at that amazing deal, super low km 325i for M3 money! Joking. When will these dealers learn low km base models cars that just sit around aren't instantly worth 4x the price of an average mileage example of the same year. It's just mindless. They have been at it with everything from Japan in the 20+ year range, BMWs, Toyotas, you name it an old low KM car with an exorbitant price tag.

Looks like a nice car, but hopefully wont have this N47 issue.

Restoration, as in fixing cracks and wear marks? If just cleaning the best way I find is a soft-medium brush, warm water and normal quality hand soap, give the seats a good scrub and have many dry cloths to wipe off the dirty water, use white one and you can see how much brown dirty water is absorbed. Takes a while, I find two passes works best. Then oil them up with leatherquie, let them sit for a few days, it works better if they get warm - ie in the sun, then cleaned off with the leatherquie pristine clean solution.

I actually laughed out loud. Well done.

Looks like just lower radiator support damage. A lot of cars are written off with minimal damage in some cases, very wasteful. It's a good service HellBM does fixing these up and getting them back on the road. I've bought a previously written off car fixed from there and you couldn't tell, a quality repair

Ah ha. Yeah must be the actuators Sent from my LT22i using Tapatalk

Hmmm, interesting one. Sounds like the fault would have to be the Central locking system module, 1 61358368173 Would be happy to have a look, perhaps remove the unit and inspect the module to see what you're dealing with. I'm at home today so feel free to call in

Yeah, its a well known fact the E34 M cars were the last of the old school hand assembled vintage.
-
Correct

I was being sarcastic... Id love too put a S54 in a Toyota something. Would be hilarious. Haha, oh not that engine would scare me too much

Rarity Unique looks Lighter than an E36 and E46 M3 Sit lower and much closer to the rear axle Faster steering rack than the E36 and E46 Investment potential
-
Glorious. That is a pretty relative price compared to others Ive seen. No other BMW compares to these really. An E30 M3 is completely different (4 cylinder for starters) and the 5 series are big saloons. Not a comparable driving experience.

Thank god

Replacement 4.3 V8 waiting to go in, old 4.0 V8 just removed. Benefits will be a more modern engine with all the usual variable systems etc, 20% more power and 23% more torque.
