  1. Around 10k might be relative. If basic interior and cosmetic problems are that bad, the suspension, engine core (vanos etc) and drive terrain must be pretty shagged. Usually such issues of neglect go hand in hand.
  2. Now you can bless it with an 335i E30 era style badge.
  3. I like my auto because the ECM closes the intake throttle for a fraction of a second on gear changes and it sounds really cool. Manuals are still better, but a good auto behind the right engine is still enjoyable.
  4. Oh my me. Clearly you like your 4 cylinder BMWs and are very passionate about them. All credit to you!
  5. The viewer counts show a pretty interesting trend. Although it's a bit dubious since so many viewer now watch it via downloads, streaming or other non TV mediums, so it really throws the numbers out. Still, I think theres enough of a TV viewer trend to show a major decline.
  6. We can agree to disagree Its all about the engine, if you think you're getting the same car with a 318i vs 330i, then you clearly don't understand the substantial difference between the cars. The character, sound, drivability and performance are less with the small engined cheaper model. With the smaller engine cars the trim is also lower quality, you're not getting 5 or 7 series quality in a 318i, lower grade leather (if fitted), more simple trim fixings, the list goes on.
  7. Its when the brand badge or name convinces the owner their car is superior to other cars even if its the low rent 2.0L model. ie: anyone with a 4 cylinder Mercedes or BMW. These are supposed to be 6, 8, 12 cylinder cars in their proper spec, not the cut price, quality cutting low end models.
  8. Every Merc is top of the line if you own one. Biggest and worst ego massaging cars there are (aside from a C63 or CLK63)
  9. Yes this should work fine, provided its done right.

    M TOY M3

Would this be viable for something that had just had a fresh paint job?
  11. Hardly surprising. Last of the raw M cars. And where else do you find such a unique body shell!

    M TOY M3

Whats the Gyeon Mohs+ cost like? Pretty cool.
  13. Any thread I click on with multiple pages takes me to the first page rather than the last current page of discussion How do we go to the last page? It's quite clunky having to go into the thread and then click again to get to the last page.
  14. As some of you may know I do a fair bit of electronics tinkering between Toyotas and BMWs Now able to offer my services to repair the annoying E90 LCI tail light issue were the amber indicators get illumination failures Rate is $180 per tail light, including 12 month warranty. If both lights are affected I can do them slightly cheaper at $320 for the pair. Simply remove your light unit, drop off or post to me in Auckland and I can have it sorted within 48-72hrs. TM
  15. Coffee and cars is better haha
  16. Im getting used to it and liking it. Keeps things interesting!

I think its just unfortunate one company has the monopoly on these, why cant there be 3 or 4 companies to rival each other and make prices fairer. $200-300 would be realistic for a PP, not ~$1000, that is exorbitant
  18. Sad they dropped the ball with the SC430, absolute pig to look at, and a dog to drive. I'd like S54 3.0GT soarer, that be fun Michael!
  19. Ended up going down a path I never thought I would with this car! Just finished installing the last generation UZ series V8 engine. It's a 2001 3UZ-FE, 4.3 Litres rather than 4.0 and runs VVT-i, variable intake length, Coil on plug, DBW and various other changes. A considerably better engine with 20% more power and 23% more torque over the standard one. Direct bolt in swap with the 5 speed auto too. Currently runs but have a few gremlins to sort so I can drive it.
  20. Right height is a bit off to be honest.
