They would have picked that car up for probably less than 5k in Japan. No one is going to pay over 10k, let alone 15 for a 22 year old Luxury barge in a relic status, especially when it has no x fact other than it's been sitting around all its life. Neglected cars don't make good cars!

Hmm, it's probably better being standard because usually if I heard a V8 and then turn around to see an E65 it would be kinda bittersweet Jokes, but yeah just remove rear mufflers and a smaller one, should give you the noise you want without cutting up the mid section / cats etc

Went for a decent drive in the active sus V8 today, ended up on East Coast Road via Clevedon, Kawakawa Bay, Orere Point etc. Awesome!

Its funny how a M70 even in a manual targa car setup still sounds like it's yawning away A supercharged M30 would have probably been more suited for this. (and sound better)

20 years+ rule. Can go on the road no problem, but why, its got nothing going for it and the low kms mean bugger all when its been sitting for most of its life, probably hot in a warehouse or outside. Like Peter said too, probably done high engine hours = yuck!

Full rpm is they key to get the good notes out of them. Certainly isn't the case at low rpm through car parks. Compare it to something like a B7 RS4 at low speed / revs, mmmmmmmmmmmm
