  1. Hi lads, I've got an annoying issue where a package came into NZ from USA on the 19th of November with the tracking stating it require tax payment. It's now the 2nd December, two weeks later and I've received no customs letter or anything to process this payment. Does anyone know the best way to contact someone in the related fields who can get this sorted? It's particularly frustrating when shipping takes 4 days and then its been sitting for 14 days........ how on earth does NZ expect to claim more GST in future for all imports when they can barely do it properly with items over $400? Cheers in advance.
  2. They look great Nice e36 door cards too
  3. What is that can on the side? Some kinda breather / oil reservoir?
  4. As far as I know! Theres two pointy parts you can see in each of them in my picture. I believe they must clip into holes on stock door card pockets.
  5. Excellent, I look forward to hearing it at one of our Coffee meets in Penrose!
  6. Glad this is not your car!
  7. First off, this is so much better than the outgoing Mercedes! Night and day! Looks like an excellent buy all things considered. How does the exhaust sound, looks like a pretty interesting setup. Is there much drone?
  8. Most intriguing. When your up here for the ECC event, If you're willing I've love the opportunity to take yours for a spin, its been a long time since I've driven an E38.
  9. From my limited but somewhat insightful experience I would agree totally. All evidence I've seen of builds around the worlds, locals with their projects point to the same thing. As for my cooler / better comment, I actually meant the chassis' offered by BMW / Mercedes are cooler / better hence people throwing Japanese engines in them for cost effective results.
  10. Has pretty sick stance at least.
  11. F1. What a joke. I'd rather watch tennis. I've watched the V8 Supercar series closely all year, that is far more entertaining in all regards.
  12. Love that material!! You could try re trim it yourself if you have LOTs of time I just gave re trimming a spare steering wheel a go for test purposes over the weekend. Not totally perfect but found some ways to improve it. Of course one has to learn by doing first.
  13. Good cheap engines with easy work-ability. BMW and Mercedes are typically cooler / better platforms.
  14. What size tyres are you both running on the Style 32 rims?
  15. Mmmm 7er E38 is looking good. Still one of the best contemporary BMWs out there. I love the straight purposeful lines, no other car has such lines, maybe the XJ jags of the 90s, but not quite the same as the E38s way of doing it. An inch drop in height would do wonders for the overall look of the car.
  16. I had the same issue when I put a 1UZ V8 into my E36, it was pretty crap with the stock worn suspension - more power / torque - but couldnt use it properly! 3-4k later I had a whole rebuild M3 Evo setup fitted with OEM parts and the results were just night and day.
  17. I think if you go away from OEM wheels, BBS are the next best option BBS RCs, I forget what version, but these would look great on an E46 M3 They look like 18s which would be my choice of size. I suspect 19s are too big, killing the ride quality.
  18. Very cool, good to see what extra capacity and tuning can do. That is a very solid engine output Must drive really well!
  19. I quite like that. I'd just make it look more standard specification. More TRD stickers though...
  20. Capacitors and Soarers. They are everything!
  21. Hey lads, I have a pair of these from my old E36 Coupe, 51418151551 Schwartz in good condition, I belive they just clip in place. Looking at $20 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=989223193
  22. Michael.

    MissBM V.2

I dunno, I think a nice Toyota badge would suit it down to a tee... All your potential problems will go away due to such a halo of reliability blessing the front and rear.
  23. I believe that is correct. The cores are pretty good out of the right factories in China, depending on the source, but some are pretty shoddy.
