I just don't see what you're getting for that kind of money with one of these.... of course I'm probably missing the point. But if one wanted an old 6 series it seems more economical to have a manual 635csi and save 40k. Sure its slower and is more common but at least it wouldn't become a garage queen.

Loosing the cats has probably done this, in my opinion they are worth keeping in a stock M3 exhaust. They tend to act like small resonators and smooth out the flow. Definitely put some decent resonators in place.

The USDM ones got those. I'd like to see inside to see how different they actually are. JDM got Panasonic derived ones, inside Toshiba, Technics and Sanyo brands are to be found.

Fixed my daily drivers factory spec CD player, replaced about 20 larger capacitors on the control board, now it can track and play CDs without skipping. Sounds so much better than the crappy JVC aftermarket unit that was put in by the previous owner. Love my 90s era Hi-Fi!
