    MissBM V.2

OEM is ideal to be honest. Orange bulb in a clear housing for dynamic effect.
  2. Just an honest little E36 coupe. Could do a lot worse. Probably has the usual clunky gearbox if its a jatco.
  3. Nice!! Parents are going to it on Sunday in Auckland. I originally had a ticket for the tour dates that got cancelled. Decided more car parts were needed, so that meant passing on Fleetwood Mac for the new dates
  4. The irony is unlike some BMWs that claim to be the 'ultimate driving machine' my active suspension Soarer actually lives up to that.
  5. Harhar. Camry might be fun? I could see one of these V8s shoved into Lotus 7 type of thing. That intake and exhaust noise out two cobra style side pipes. Heaven!
  6. Looks like a great example. Something special about an E34 with M sport seats.
  7. Fairly attractive package really. Could do a lot with that.
  8. Hehehe, such a fitting slogan I thought.
  9. Exhaust looks cool. How does it sound?
  10. It would be a 4.4, maybe non vanos. Those records are always wrong in one or two details.
  11. Having seen the car with the original wheels before being painted black they were fine, but a bit boring, the BBS wheels have a bit more lip and give the car a sportier look. Stick with them
  12. Looks soooo much better!! Got center caps?

    His and hers

Mmmm that CSL They seem to be getting better and better. Just a pure honest M car with no fussy detailing. Are their prices on the rise?

    2016 340i Review

haha, they could only dream of getting the M20 / M30 engine noise back. That is the classic BMW soundtrack after all. I guess it's progress with technology and the sound will change as a result... No doubting other manufactures are doing a good job, Mercedes new Bi Trubo C63 is a good example of that, for a turbo car it still makes a good note, as do many Audis.
  15. 2JZ is at least a 20 year old proven lump of Iron and alloy - and with that a ridiculous amount of product support. As good as N55s are on paper, are they as strong and tough long term? Don't they have plenty of plastic manifold components that need to be ditched to hold decent boost levels? BMWs plastic / seal track record would be my worry if one was to enjoy a reliable setup.

A good packaged it seems. Exhaust note leave a whole lot to be desired though, sounds choked up because of the turbos.

    Cops & Plates

A most interesting discussion. I've always felt the monopoly plates have is an absurdity and really shows up a lot of issues in NZs niche consumer market. They wonder why people buy stuff online rather than locally - overprice goods and a lack of selection. Nothing will change when they enforce GST either. Just another way to clip the ticket of Joe average.
  18. Depends what you want out of the car I guess... I wouldn't bastardise a genuine M3 personally, as mentioned, buy a well option standard E46 coupe and build it up accordingly with M3 suspension and the big case diff. A 2JZGTE in VVTi spec would be an excellent power plant for long term reliability. Quite easily a 500hp / 600nm engine with relative tweaks done, but even the stock 320hp / 450nm would make for a very fast car with excellent tractability. I'd advise against getting to caught up with excessive rwkw and big numbers came many fall into, it becomes too much of a show off factor and kills the experience driving the car due to excessive traction loss and never being able to effectively use all or most of the power.
  19. Gasket goop is awful if not used just right. I had my cam covers off last night on the 1UZ, they run a lovely rubber seal thats easily replaced if tired. Logical!
