From a murky memory I have, it was about $300 for the E36 for all the parts needed for to change an auto arrangement to manual, not including master. The E36 uses one bracket for both cars and looks as though the E46 is the same. Ps, the clutch hard line runs under the carpet, against the firewall, behind the HVAC and through the floor. A prick of a thing to do, most I believe run a length of bundy/brake line through the engine bay when converting. Cut the nipple on the side of the brake reservoir and fit a short length of suitable hose through a grommet and onto the master clutch cylinder. Oh, and yes genuine, no-one else is likely to make them... Doesn't have to be a dealer though.

Pretty sure the m50 block and dual vanos (m52tu/m54) heads dont mix. All 3 series m5x, and most 5 series, engines are bolt in. Big extend port 20b would be the business.

There's no way on earth I could match that number in a 3ltr turbo...

Back up battery in the siren unit. Found this Visit My Website. Might be usefull?

Somewhere in the dark depths of my memory I think I recall something about a battery in the siren going flat causing ghosting. Had trouble with an e36 alarm going nuts so might have been E36 problem.

Any way you can borrow a different set of wheels with different tyres (good) fitted?

Not all of them will. Some of the later E36 diffs have a different crown wheel position, smaller diameter pinion shifts it toward the centre.
