  1. Better if you driving around town and in traffic that's about it. Auto's get boring fast.
  2. E38\E39's are more complex and have more issues than E32\E34 which are generally pretty basic. I do like the E38 looks over the E32 but the E38 quality is a bit of a let down. Headgaskets are really the only main problem ive had with 6 cyl E34\E32's but they easy and cheap to replace. Andy: Does depend on what you are doing but being a big motor its mainly more time consuming having to take off twice as much or more for better access. One of the reasons i like the M30, very easy to work on with everything exposed and plenty of room in E34\E32 engine bay.
  3. More popular because the E34 looks better than E32 to most and its a lighter\smaller so improved performance as well as alot more manual transmission models etc. E32 735i are worth nothing these days, seen quite a few good examples around 3-4k, wouldn't pay more than that myself unless maybe it was a mint manual one. You can find good M60 and M62 740i's in 5-6k region, if the hard works been done on them then its not a problem and they get decent highway economy.
  4. Wow someone actually bought it
  5. The E32 feels like a bigger\heavier E34, you do notice it but it isnt a huge difference. The E32 is has a good amount of rear leg room where is the E34 is a bit cramped, only matters if you sitting in the back though. 735i's are usually sell for less than 535i and not many E32 V8's around compared to E34 and E38 V8's. The 8 cyl is better until you have to work on it. For highway driving id pick either, whatever example comes up first that is the best condition\price.
  6. Not sure myself but sure im a google search would yield results.
  7. Didn't stop me driving but mine was only for 28 days from going 41kph over during overtaking.
  8. Like hotwire has said you need a Euro radio tuner\module like a BM24. Replace it with the one in the back of the boot and you done or swap in an aftermarket unit like Dynavin or similar.
  9. My 3 ton powerbuilt i bought in '04 has served me flawlessly.

    Quick Questions

BNT do redline. If its just a std open diff then any decent branded 75w-90 would be fine.
  11. Blue interior remindes me of a japanese ricer, couldnt live with it myself.
  12. Pretty sure it was always 30k
  13. Certain models in the future i think will be. It is the last BMW build that had the classic BMW styling with good build quality and lower production numbers.
  14. Just needs a manual box and it would be perfect.
  15. Sure its old but id put money it on not breaking over alot of newer models.
  16. Haha thanks Mark but i was just merely stating the reality which most people have agreed on.
  17. Every E34 ive had or measured had the same bars diameter bars, 23mm F and 15mm R. I think bigger option swaybars were a rare option on a non M car.
  18. Thats pretty bad. Most o-ring suppliers would be able to measure them probably stock them too. Ive got plenty lying around too as do alot of people.
  19. No they don't meet my definition of rare at all, a BMW E9 for example would be a rare BMW to me. If by your definition very very different=having more options ticked, a few extras and a different motor then fine but it doesn't to me. I have driven one not that even matters here. Sounds like you should just buy it yourself since your clearly so gay for them.
  20. 540i uses a V 302 x 28 for front and V 300 x 20 for rear. Rear rotors were $300 for aftermarkets last time i priced them up.
  21. So how exactly is a 740i completely different 750i? Ones just a higher spec'd version with more features and extra cylinders. My original point was its pricing which most people would agree on, maybe he's flexible on price i dont know. Its one of those cases where someone is selling a good example in the hope someone who really likes\wants a one doesn't care about paying more for it. As above 750iL's themselves aren't that rare or that sort after, that's a fact and the reason why i commented in the first place.
  22. Since your planning on doing quite a bit id recommend getting a set of M5 sway bars, it's good noticeable upgrade that doesn't cost too much.
  23. Yeah considering a new one is $60 more.
