  1. Guess it depends on if he's willing to negotiate and that actual condition of the car once its viewed. If there's any issues etc he should be willing to drop the price M10 is solid as engine, not as fast or efficient as the M40 but id rather bet my life on a M10 than an M40.
  2. Thats been on tm for years so the guy can't be in a rush to sell it. I don't think its even worth 1\2 what he asking, its not even mint to start with and thats before viewing it.
  3. ZHP gear knobs are sweet, i got them on both my cars now. Added AUX thru CD changer on the E39, sounds decent for a stock system and gotta be better than those tape convertors.
  4. Not yet but im looking at getting something sometime soon. One of first road bikes i ever rode was a GSXR 600, it was damn scary having that much power compared to the farm bikes i was used to. My old man is been fixing up an old '87 GSX750 which im looking forward trying.
  5. +1 get a R1100\1150 or something.
  6. Thats how my car was when i got it but nothing i dislike about it as it stands. I rather have the E38 setup over the E39.
  7. I think the Y resonator is an E39 V8 thing, i havent seen them on any other bmw myself. My 540i has had its Y removed and running some sort of single round muffler at the rear, sounds good with being too loud and you can hardly hear it when cruising.
  8. Real good deal and looks very tidy. At the price im not surprised its basically sold already.
  9. You gotta own and really drive an E30 to appreciate them. I was really never too attracted to them at first but after buying one to see what the fuss was about i was hooked End of the day a nice E30(esp the M3) will always get plenty of attention and respect unlike some We all know you are a E36 fanboy etc etc so even im going to say just buy one already
  10. Nothing against the E36 but i wouldn't call it a solid design, if it were they wouldn't of used such sh*t house door trims among other things.
  11. +1 to what Bue-540 said. Flying to pick up the car and driving it back is way more enjoyable, is usually cheaper and you get find out all the things that need fixing on it too.
  12. Id be surprised if it came like that from the factory but maybe it was a another E36 cost cutting measure haha.
  13. I convert every car i buy to non lock nuts and throw them in the bin, they just a pita.
  14. Mine rattles a little too but not loud enough that's its obvious
  15. Eagle

    Style 19's

Is that just the glare or are they white?
  16. Bought at 540i at turners for $1600, put it on the market for 2.2k and sold it in 2 days. Had to fix a few minor things and after a transmission fluid change it shifted like new with nearly with 221,000 on the clock. I think E34 540i's are one of the best valve for money BMW around, not alot to go wrong either unlike E39's.
  17. ^That should be basic knowledge if you a true BMW fan haha. Anything that's got a 3L 6 cyl or even worse a 3L V8 in those cars above isn't worth getting.
  18. Shitty headunit was pissing me off along with not being to change time etc so I have put the original monitor back in. Thanks to Kerry @ Mosen Euro Parts for a good price on it
  19. Yeah but once you go from 318i to 540i, 328i etc you probably won't want to drive a 318i again. Nothing deluded about V8 torque, anyone whos passed a slow car on the open road in one will tell you that.
  20. Bushes are always nice but trailing arms aren't likely to be perfect being an old car,. On this car went from -1mm rear toe on both sides running std springs to -2.5mm each side after lowering. Most of my lowered E34's had 16" or 17" rims on 225\235 tyres and with my driving style the tyres have always pretty even, thats without any swapping over. I do check my pressures often, find the right pressure for the give tyre and use quality tyres too.
  21. Your right but very unlikely given the km's history
  22. They suppose to have them iirc but Ive yet to see a tamper dot come on in an E34 even after swapping coding plugs and clusters around.
  23. Be aimed more at potential buyers who might be put off by it like you mentioned
  24. Seems fine to me but you could take out the cluster and take a picture of the coding plug(should have the 7 digits on your VIN on it) if you really wanted too.
  25. Ive done weld in plates\bolts on an E30 which is basically the same as an E34. The plates\bolts and welding cost was only a few hundred iirc but i replaced the subframe and trailing arms bushes also. I did all the labour myself bar the welding. I was doing subframe bushings so i figured id do while i was there, otherwise i probably won't have bothered. Sure it could be better but i dont think your rear toe is worth the cost\effort to fix.
