Neal 544 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 Put the e46 rearview mirror back into the car after having it refrubished in the USA. Had those dreaded bubbles of death start appearing. Some of the acid stuff leaked out and did some minor damage to the mirror before the repair. Brasso seems to be tidying it up ok.
nath 134 Report post Posted November 30, 2011 fitted new quarter window seals and sill seals to my e36 coupe. sh*t! what a job when I didnt know how to fit them, + a few beers. Got there very nicely in the end. Learning more and more about e36's and how the plastics just arent like they were in e30's.

Top Secret 2 Report post Posted December 6, 2011 Finished exhaust last night, re did my timing map today ( was ultra conservative before). Comes on to boost much earlier, goes way better. So I take it the Haltech issues were sorted? What was the matter? Keen to see some progress pics. As for me, changed the steering rack with a spare one, took out the AC, refilled the diff with new oil, and put the old exhaust back on. Tomorrow's job is to bleed the powersteering rack
polley 916 Report post Posted December 6, 2011 Yeah issues sorted, was the igniter, changed to a nissan one. Might grab some photos tomorrow.
Lucan 196 Report post Posted December 6, 2011 -Fit my new E30 iS lip replica (my 2nd one so far). I went through 2 genuine$ before I drilled holes and ziptied em on. If your cars low id suggest doing the same!
Shady 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2011 RE- Blackie. Yeah I have cable (zip) tied it on and my 1st one was also as I couldnt get the clips to work with it. Because they are fibreglass (replicas) they smash on the those carpark stopper things outside the shops (and sometimes the footpaths which are raised), done this once but wasnt noticable... so i have to stop a few feet back from where most park (with the ass hanging out) as I cant see how much room in front. If it saves my lip then I'll do it. I smashed my 1st one in my own damn driveway.

Lucan 196 Report post Posted December 7, 2011 I found out petrol was leaking outta the fuel rail, turns out an o-ring was completely missing from on top of the injector?! Replaced that, bled clutch and fixed wierdly high idle. New windscreen wipers, made a clutch stop and started shadowlining trim. Ahh its good to be putting off an E30 project by starting another...
