euroriffic 607 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Discovered the drivers side rear door seal has failed with the ton of rain we've had this week and has absolutely soaked the carpet on that side. dubman 39 Report post Posted August 19, 2012 Pieced back the front struts and installed Nolathane sway bar bushes. Found the easiest way to do it was by using a scissor jack underneath to lock and support the bracket, then use vice grips and a screw driver to line up the holes. This time its called "storm grey" I quite like it, more than the black and done this much so far whole right side, bonnet, boot and the other front guard! hybrid 1043 Report post Posted August 21, 2012 That pic is just one I found off the net, but the chain guides and race (black bits) need replacing. Not sure if the chain is damaged yet and weather the sprokets need replacing. Getting a bunch of other servicey sort of items done at the same time. Thrust arm bushes, rear brake lines, belts etc. Would love to attempt to do this myself but off overseas so will be leaving it in Rays hands while i'm away. I could DIY it, but it's a complete c**t to get to without a Hoist, better off just leaving it to Professionals.. I must have f**ked something up when I did the trans service a few months ago. jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) Two new rear 265/35/18 tyres ($700... ouch!) and alignment to try and fix camber - they've been wearing on the inside thanks to the lowering. Replaced rear brake hoses. Can't find vacuum leak so still not 100% sure what's causing the rough idling when cold but it's not that serious (yet). Also found an oil leak from the oil filter housing. The seals probably need replacing but it's a pain to get at so probably will need pro help for that... So it'll have to wait! Replaced worn steering wheel buttons. Still on the look out for mint working front comfort seats and/or tan leather interior to get a two-tone thing going. Now spending what I was on just the E30 for both cars... Hax. They wanted to charge me $80 a month just for the E34... Had good ole mum sort that out. Was going to suggest the 80amp inline blade fuse in the boot which is part of where the cme gets supply. mine went once, couldnt figure it out for ages.
