Twistee 454 Report post Posted February 26, 2022 As I've been spending stupid amounts of time prepping and painting the interior of the house I've passed the time listening to podcasts. In all honesty it was never something that was on my radar until recently. I can recommend the following car related podcasts for anyone that needs background noise to distract them. Smith and Sniff Collecting cars Both of these are UK based, I find it more relatable than the US podcasts which are still a bit clickbate with no content. And the YouTube channels that are connected to them are also very watchable. If anyone has other recommendations please post up.
Cement 871 Report post Posted February 26, 2022 This is a great watch, very soothing but only 3 episodes so far https://youtu.be/lo3tSswZV7Q Asa far as regular YouTube channels go I really only watch Sarah-n-Tuned and Skid Factory now as my tolerance for over commercialised click bait lessens. Or folks who's only goal seems to be to use their channel to fund a collection of super cars etc.

adro 1083 Report post Posted February 26, 2022 I have really enjoyed Frank Stephensons channel on YouTube, more of a design perspective than just a practical car review. https://youtube.com/c/FrankStephensondesign

Dude mostly does bimmers and damn, the production quality of this guy is insane. Have really enjoyed Frank Stephensons stuff out of all the suggestions so far, been binging all morning. Eye-opening to know the rationale behind some of the styling choices. And M539 is of course the absolute favourite. 4
coop 261 Report post Posted February 28, 2022 At the opposite end of car preservation I get a lol from this channel who destroy end of life vehicles. I also enjoy Doug DeMuro and Curious Cars for reviews on original/survivor vehicles that are becoming thin on the ground. As for podcasts True crime - Casefile, Sword and Scale, Human Monsters, DNA ID. Inside the Back Box and Black Box Down for aviation disasters. Twisted History for what the name states with a bit of humorous banter thrown in. The Art of Manliness for self awareness and motivation.
Vass 831 Report post Posted April 27, 2022 Another one I just discovered today. More aimed at the design aspect, quite a few cool videos on Bimmers in there. Dude analyses and redesigns some classics and a few modern models and such, been binging on it all day. The Sketch Monkey If you ever wondered what an E39 M5 Coupe would look like for example..

Vass 831 Report post Posted January 31, 2023 Recently discovered Just Rolled In. Incredible levels of stupidity makes for highly entertaining watching. Also, the amount of cars with bullet holes is utterly terrifying. 'Murica! Also, far from an unknown creator, Adam LZ and his accompanying channels, Drift HQ and PSI, have been a good watch, especially of late. He found his first ever car from 10 years ago, an auto 325i abandoned in a swamp, bought it back, cleaned it up and swapped in a turbocharged S54. Good bit of fabricating there. Kees 594 Report post Posted March 1, 2023 Local YouTuber who has some nice, short & sharp car reviews is: KiwiCarLife I've actually met him, he's reviewed my Boxster and W8 Passat (which I think might be posted relatively soon) and I had a drive of his Accord Euro R which was interesting. He's just bought a juicy looking E38 740i which is sitting on some lovely M Pars, I think he will make a video on it relatively soon.

I flicked through the channel and stumbled upon my old 325ci! So weird seeing it again, video would have been made not even 2 months after I'd sold it. Loved that thing 🤤
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted March 1, 2023 Sure had lots of positive things to say about it, i kept thinking that's because its had a lots of money spent on it unlike the average one. I think old used car reviews are more about the example being reviewed rather than the car itself.

I've got about 75 litres of home made, old-fashioned, all-molasses, cask strength Rum aging here... so my little Whisk(e)y collection sits soooo much longer in my 110 year old safe... because those guys give me too many silly ideas 🤣.
