2 pointsA mate of mine had an e30 325is ex SA. 2.7 litre parts bin special comprised of Alpina engine parts, M3 suspension and Aluminium Doors and bonnet. An absolute hoot to drive, combined with sharp handling. I wouldn't knock SA perfomance models.

2 pointsWants $13.5k for an E30, puts up 6 photos, one of which is a rusty sun-roof. Way to sell a car! As an M325i it could be worth the 13.5k asking, but needs to be much better presented and marketed to get up to that price I would suggest. Mtech I > Mtech II anyways!

1 pointI'm sure people would love to spend 3k on a stock standard 525e with springs that will give it a pink sticker. try selling it for a grand with stock suspension and sell the wheels separately.

1 pointIt was good that you changed that transmission oil, mine was dirty as too. 10,000k later and its still working fine too, some people say that servicing it can cause it to fail, but I suspect that's unusual. I think I'll get it done every 60,000k, if I keep the car that long, i've got a bit of a history.

1 pointBefore you go replacing things left right and centre- give the brakes a thrash. Find a nice quiet road and do 4 or 5 emergency stops. Then see what happens. My E39 had the symptoms that you are describing, and I cured it with this medicine.

1 pointGuess I am not a true BMW devotee as I struggle to see why people pay so much for E30's but I suppose its just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.....

1 pointOnce the car has been run in the 2K cup then it can be on-sold for whatever price - the new price often reflects money spent on safety gear or maintainance. 2K refers to the original purchase price of a new entry into the field. Often the cars bought for 2K are in dire need of maintainance and replacement of brakes, wheels tyres etc. This sale price simply reflects the some of those costs.

1 pointE30's never fail to surprise me with their asking prices... If only there was such a demand for E36's But either way agreed, stunning car. Just right.

1 pointI had a similar project last year: a PFL 325 auto that I converted to a manual. I converted the engine from Motronic 1.0 to 1.3 which allowed me to get rid of the bellhousing sensors, among other things. It was pretty straightforward. E30zone has a page that tells you everything you need to know about it.

1 pointMy fetish is bass. And if my car falls apart before I reach my content level, I cry. My trip to and from work each day in the Schnizzer is almost like bass suicide. Doors rattle before the speakers do

1 pointFrom the hundred lot of people doing photos, I've found merely one proper shot of the ECC lot. And that was only because it was requested. People tell me there is no divided line between JDM/American and Euro, but it was proven by 99% of photographers there, ignoring our cars pointblank. When you see an album of 650 photos pop up on Facebook of the day, you sort of hope it might of ended in there, like the 250 others cars that were shot, sh*t box or not. Yeah I understand it was Euros in the wrong scene, but we were invited and told to come along as it was open to all grade cars. Meh. And this is why I started Euro Specific events, and next time the JDM bunch cry and wine about how they are left out, will remind them of our sour experience at an event told to be aimed at 'all' makes, yeah right.

1 pointLong time no update! Probably because there is nothing really to update. I got a company car a few months ago and free gas keeps me out of the BMW most days but it was long overdue a clean so thought I'd bring it into work for the day. After driving a Toyota Corolla for 3 months it's nice to sit in a real car again.
