4 pointsSorry to hear Amber ... this must be devastating!! A story to lighten the mood perhaps ... When I had my 03 M3, it was rear ended by a drunk driver in town with just 1200km on the clock (imagine my pain, as I had only taken delivery for no more than a week) ... the bastard promptly took off, so I had to chase after him exhaust hanging and scrapping along the road sparking. Fun chase though. Zero points for the Cops in Downtown Auckland (where I managed to stop him right outside the station) for not even bothering to take a look at a drunk driver on the road right outside the station. Hope to see it rebuilt and better than before. There is no such a thing as damaged cars, just ones waiting to be improved upon : )

2 pointsThe human body. Mine is failing me. My hip is stuffed, my back is stuffed and my noes hair is growing at an exponential rate whilst the hair on my head is starting to thin. And I am only 33. Also. Auckland house prices. I am not sure I can afford to buy my own house of my EX wife as it had doubled in value in the last 5 years... and if I can't I can not afford to buy another house... and rent is crazy! I have always liked Tauranga.

1 pointhttp://ifixit.org/blog/7192/john-deere-mess/?utm_content=buffer90823&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer I've seen this sort of thing mooted by car manufacturers too - basically if you plug into the car for diagnosis etc they say you are breaking copyright !! Sort of kills the aftermarket tuner business ??

1 pointThe last time I had a car written off the insurance company paid me out and I was able to buy the car back from them. I then used the money they paid me to have the repairs done and I actually came out of the whole deal with money in my pocket. Might pay to ask them if they're willing to sell it back to you and for how much if they're so keen on writing it off before they've even had it assessed. You could end up with a whole lot more money to spend on your pride and joy if it works out that way.

1 pointPeople who travel at 90kms along the highway when you have no oportunity to overtake them then speed up to 105kms on the passing lane. OMG. come on people.

1 pointStupid motherfluffas who take their motherfluffing time to take off when a light turns from red to green and a whole line of cars has to beep at em to get their attention. People who slow down to unfluffingbelievably slow speeds to take a corner that can easily be taken at 50kph. People on 50cc mopeds who cant accelerate up a hill because the bikes power output is not suited to their body type. Mongoose alarms POS i tell ya. Suckers who think they have the Godgiven right to be superior to others because they read a lot of books but really have no real world experience. People who stereotype BMW drivers as poncey gits. Racial discrimination. Social discrimination. Sexism. Wars over oil. The list goes on.

1 pointWhen you run out of compartments in component trays for capacitors. I mean putting a 10v 180uf cap in with 25v 180uf caps is so damn annoying.

1 pointHigher quality fuels (aka BP98) are just that. a better quality product. The RON rating is independently tested so you as the consumer get what you pay for. The differences between Gull / callenge 91 and for example Mobil / BP 91 are that Gull buy in and therefore have no hand in the quality. They buy just on price and you get what they buy in. This generally is the cheapest stock they can find. The big players control their own supply lines therefore make better quality products. They have reputations and large supply contracts to fulfill they need quality supply. Average "Jo Public" at the local BP service station gets the same product but retail competition is so, that profit on petrol on is very low. They all make more money on the coffee / pies and softdrinks customers buy at the same time. Hence why the stores have become more convenience stores over the last 20 years. Long story short. Like anything you get what you pay for. If you have a high performance car, or you keep cars longer term, go for the best you can get. If you have a old junker, or switch cars regular like, I wouldn't care so much as long as it meets manufacturer spec (minRON).

1 pointGood day. I just imported a 2009 BMW 320i from Japan. It comes with (what I think is an older version of) iDrive. The FM frequencies run from 76-90Mhz only, since that is what Japan allows. I've searched for advice on how to convert the Radio's Service details to other regions but all the blogs and forums I have found so far relate to vehicles without iDrive (turn on/off radio, press M or SEL or INFO button etc, none of which are applicable or possible with iDrive. Has anyone found a way to to the conversion without needing to buy new accessories, software, equipment etc? Thanks in advance.... H.L. P.S. Further research tells me that the iDrive model is the iDrive Professional Navigation (CIC)

1 pointI get this about once every 6 months or so at princes street off ramp. That and people thinking the over bridge is one way to the on ramp and start to queue in the oncoming lane. That always leads to some entertaining stare down competitions followed by a long reverse of shame..

1 pointMake a BMW 'S3' (Schnitzer 3) Hybrid the two cars together for one ultimate car. Then purchase E36 318is for fun car.. Kidding. My goal is to have her back in my driveway. Strict curfews will be put in place if that happens. Eg: No driving in traffic, not to be driven in the wet, bull bars front and rear... Nah not really, but I think I'll become a concerned mother whenever it gets driven (if it ever gets driven again) I'm hopeful. Fingers crossed and all. Right now it's just waiting back from insurance on what's the verdict. It's been the most intense waiting period ever. Women should never love cars, this sh*t gets too emotional! Haha.
