First day back in NZ and couldn't resist... Unfortunately splitters are yet to arrive; and the other two minor items weren't flush so sending back... Diffuser fits perfect! Easy to pop on too, thank goodness lol. Springs being sorted and CSL tune done thanks to Ray and Tom! First drive home and stuck in bloody Auckland traffic.. Egh.

Nice work ! ... looks bloody amazing. Love the vibe going on at the moment with people restoring cars back to mint. This is why this community is rad.

I don't think crooks are stupid enough to run these plates, it's asking to be pulled up. Much more likely to run stolen plates, it's cheaper and less likely to be pulled up.

Yea pretty firm on the $1k. It's going to be for another project, so the cheaper the better really. The appearance will change quite a bit on what ever car I get, but I'll PM you and you can flick through some pics

Are you firm on the $1k? I'm looking to get rid of my E30 daily, 318i auto, sedan, facelift, WOF, rego just expired but can put 3 months on it. I'm in Auckland too. Would like $1750 for it, PM me if you're interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Different Connor, voiced my interest in them at the meet before last. They're a nice wheel on the right car

I ordered the V710's back in March direct from VMR and cost was US$850 for all 4. Then I got 4x PSS tyres installed which made the total US$1792 + $240 for TPMS so around US$2k all up. I got VMR to ship to kiwishipping depot and then freighted them over for a landed cost incl GST of just under NZ$3k. Granted the NZD was stronger back then so will be a few hundred more expensive now No regrets as they absolutely transformed the look and feel of the 135! Also, they have flow formed V710's now which are probably a little more expensive but lighter which I wished were available 6mths ago.

Goodies have arrived! Long awaited new wheels BBS RCs some maintenance items: pulleys, belt, o-ring, sensor etc. oh and a couple of foglight covers genuine bmw part for like $10 each gonna have a busy weekend with all this and new oil and filter going in

Unless you hook it onto a joist that holds up the lounge floor above, and pull it down

Bit more progress done today while I wait for new parts. HUGE thanks to Josh for helping me clean and re-solder the Vanos actuators. Vanos hubs and spring plate diaphragms removed but not before the upper chain cover comes off, there is a real b@stard of a bolt to get to, you can only turn it one flat at a time with a ring spanner, patience level 100 unlocked. The spring plates changed after 9/2001, these were made thicker, and the concaved plate is intalled back to front compared to the old style. This apparently helps significantly with vanos rattle, we'll see.
