the car gets older and needs *at least* as much maintenance/servicing as it did when new. so to answer your question - yes, it will still need the $200k car level of servicing. but then, you knew that as it aged, it'd need *more* - not less - quality servicing. Toyotas are prolly the only vehicle that can make do with less and continue to function. IMHO. It's a whole shitload of car for thirty k. It's not like buying a two year old Toyota for $30k; it's your new girlfriend who has a champagne and coke habit. she's yours for the price of the quickie vegas wedding, but needs the champagne, coke and leather constantly.

Im sure you all know what they normally look like so heres a pic of how it turned out. Think its heaps better than before and only cost like $30 for a can of tint spray.

As per the pics, Black / charcoal Nappa leather Recaros, recovered a few years ago but in exceptional condition. Came out of a left hand drive car, but seats have backrest adjustment, entry tilt levers and seat buckle attachments on both sides, so can be used in righthand or lefthand drive cars and fully interchangeable. $2300 to Bimmersport members . .

http://www.motortrend.com/news/bmw-e30-wagon-takes-on-2016-bmw-340i-on-ignition-wvideo/ This was awesome. I guess NZ might have a few hot E30's that would be up to the grade of this one?

Thanks for that Tim, i know more than enough about the process of replacing the belt, and have done it before, but the sarcasm is appreciated. I was more concerned about the movement in the cam and not the crank after i had removed the old belt and readjusting it back to the marks that i had it set to before i did so, and whether it was of concern or not, but obviously you didn't read my post. Cheers :)

Yeah, I don't know how you'd clean it, seems like a mold magnet with all those dimples and imperfections Haha yeah, they're great quality cars, but by god have an unappealing aesthetic, Lexus was good a turning out uninspired designs in the late 90s early 2000s. At least they've improved since.

Faulty ABS control unit with the description you have given... a common problem that normally can be repaired. Ring me tomorrow if you like

OK - this one is perhaps not quite so cheap, but it's not ridiculously expensive either. All the same, probably best to check you will actually need it before caving in to the collecting tools fetish. http://www.tite-reach.com/

the cause was a 2001 728i being fitted with a presumably second hand rocker cover gasket with a 1998 date stamp that decided to spit it self out, followed by about 5L of oil between Wanganui and Mt Eden. wasnt smoking like that the whole way, just when turning left and it spilled onto manifold and anyway just put electric rear blind up, out of sight out of mind lol Gavin at Euro Italian hooked me up with a new gasket, fitted that in my Auckland workshop and all good for the way home the real question is why is the 750i stuck behind the 728i lol

Mount it to a 22mm Mdf panel that's almost the width of the parcel shelf. Carpet and attach via Iso fix mount nuts and use rivnuts with standoffs as well.It should stiffen up the parcel shelf enough. Otherwise mount it above your battery tray.
