Too hard basket. Guidelines from 'management'. Unshakable belief that speeding is the work of the devil incarnate, and will lead to the extinction of humans as a species.

Yeah. For those familiar with Cambridge, I saw a highway patrol at the start of the 50kmh zone on Cambridge Rd one foggy morning (coming into Cambridge from Te Awamutu, common/easy spot for them to sit and catch people going over 50kmh). I pulled over and asked him why he wasn't worried about people driving at open road speeds with no headlights on in heavy fog, and pointed out a couple of cars going past with no lights on. He spun some bullshit about people speeding in urban areas. And people wonder why the standard of driving is f**ked in this country.

Sneaky trip out to grab fish n chips. Need to get an alignment report for the cert guy done soon. Anyone know anyone that's not overpriced in Auckland to do the alignment? I get nervous when random shops jack the car up ?

Great discription of New Zealands roads at any time I would say.

I was looking at these a few months back and was looking for 2009+ lci (facelift). There were a ton of them around. Flooded in and many were Motorsport spec. They were all between 8 and 12k. This one being pre lci would put it in the sub 10k bracket for me. The colour is great though. The kms are about middle of the pack (though good for an 06). I would get a check by an independent specialist though. Low kms on a Jap import can mean it may have just sat in city traffic all its life.

its hilarious to think that going from an E30 to an E46 is considered a downgrade

Not a huge update, but it's the little things that count I reckon. Pulled out the old windshield washer system as it leaked and was also blocked up. I soaked the nozzles in white vinegar and replaced the check valve (61661374978) and hose (N203011-5) with new oem replacements. Success, the jets sprayed perfectly onto the windshield. Probably the only car in our fleet that I can say that about. Then went on to replace the front valance blank with the 325i oil cooler vent (51711953609) from FCP Euro. While I was down down there I put in some new lip clips (51711979334 for white ones) to get the IS lip on properly. Also removed the AliExpress fogs as they were shite and fitted the OEM colour coded blanks.

Yup, the 318is would certainly fit into the collectors category and would be well up there in terms of desirability. With the NZ New, low kms combo, and great condition I would think your estimate is in the right place - might take a while to find the right buyer, but certainly do-able.

Picked up a project for cheap that i’ll be building in to a hopefully reliable and presentable daily driver. 2001 Jap Import 530i Touring with 279,000kms What was really appealing is that it’s been fitted with a gen M5 front bumper but the factory xenons have been replaced with halogen headlights. That’s going to be sorted soon. It’s in pretty average condition but the paint and body panels are good which makes this an ideal project for me. The engine is a beaut too. The list of to do’s go something like... -Front Suspension o’haul including msport shocks and 25mm lowering springs -18 Staggered wheels -a slight drop in the rear (factory self leveling suspension) -Fit a business rds radio to get nz stations and fit a bluetooth adapter that integrates with the factory setup -Replace the povo interior with Leather seats and door cards, fit the technical graphite/cubic finisher strips -Fit the correct Msport parts behind and under the front bumper -Cooling system overhaul, fuel filter, mictofilters. Give the paint a polish and wax and a heap of misc bits n pieces to bring it back to its glory.

Idiots driving in fog, with NO lights on. I'm not even asking for you to be lit up light a Christmas tree with every single bulb possible lit up, all I would like is just some small inkling of brightness so I can see your silver econobox coming for a little bit further than 20metres away from the intersection. Even a side light would be a start - or an interior light, I don't care, just something, please. Luckily it's the school holidays at the moment, so there is much reduced traffic around in the mornings and as a result there was not the usual chaos caused by these dumbasses having an accident on a crowded road network. Did make it seem even weirder in the fog though, was like some post-apocalyptic dystopian future.

Yeah, that really sucks. I guess they took the whole car to take the rims off somewhere else and then torched it to get rid of any fingerprints, etc. That really is a scumbag thing to do, you never mess with a man's wheels. All that pain and aggravtion through destroying someone's pride and joy to take a couple of grands worth of wheels and tyres so you can sell them for a couple of hundred. Should be a death penalty for that kind of sh*t.

Hey team, I’m new to bimmersport, I’ve got a 1999 320i e46 It’s not too much but a daily, however, I look to start learning how to build an e46 through it. I can’t wait to do more learning, get active on my car and then later upgrade : ) Cheers

Damn. Still doesn't make sense why anyone would try to sell (guessing insurance company in this case) or buy this thing. You'd have to pay to some to take it.

TT_TT I work in sales. and don't get a commission. and yes My soul was sucked away. but dealing with idiots for customers really makes one misanthropic and lose hair too. I wish I could get out, but this is all I have now. Be nice to your sales guys please

After my above rant about Trademe I no longer have to worry about these muppets messaging stupid questions to me. I no longer use Trademe to sell items. Yes it reduces the audience and in turn my chances of selling an item quickly. But I am not in a hurry to sell anything. Forums are just fine. And usually the people are like minded. As for Facebook market place. The muppet questions you get on there are on another level.

People who claim to have 'good' cars but who evidently cannot be bothered to do the most basic of research, like actually looking at the advert. Guy selling Style 23s. One of the pics shows '7 1/2J x 17' stamped on the rim - first question asked is "Size and width?" I stopped reading (I don't want a set of 23s) but I suspect the next question would have been "Offset?" assuming the time-wasting question-setter actually knows about things like that. Of course, the answer is et41. All genuine Style 23s are et41... As the simplest bit of investigation would reveal. Selling stuff these days is more like a war of attrition than a chance to recoup some funds.

Trademe. What a steaming turd it's become. It was bad when I left NZ a few years back. And now that I am back it is so much worse. It is just littered with overseas sellers peddling their utter trash products. We have no way of rating the products. Just the seller. Of which nobody bothers to do. If you are going to allow all this sh*t on the site they need to change to a Amazon style rating system. We need product reviews and ratings. 5000+ 5 star seller ratings doesn't help me see if the product I am buying from them is junk.

Famous around the world for the car that appeared and used in our music video for Antiform - Crash. Big thanks to HellBM for that!

FWIW the Ultra Racing ones sold locally (and on Trademe) are inexpensive and perfectly fine, less than $200 each.
