its not (that) cheap, and i dont think its a great investment. verts are no where near as desireable nor valuable. high kms dont help either.

Hey team, Heres my recently acquired E30 coupe in red. Had a pfl E30 325 coupe nearly 8 years ago and recently started looking for another one to build up. Was after a non sunroof coupe and overall tidy as such. Went slightly north and picked this up As you can tell its pretty rough on the paint side of things and was also told it has no rust, before I took it away found rust in the boot, will be getting tidied up and full paint when it's all done Anyway, got it home and put a polishing machine over it, come up alright for the meantime Next on the agenda was the overheating at traffic lights , but fine on open road, was also told fluids had just been done...water was horrible Thermostat was dry Figured it hadnt been bleed so changed thermostat and new coolant, full bleed and bingo no over heating Next issue, drivers window wasnt working, told it was regulator and given 2 with car. Pulled off door card and was unplugged, plugged in and was noisier than an outboard motor tilting on a stabicraft Pulled off regulator and put new one one and wouldnt quite fit up, turned out the splines were different. So pulled apart the noisy one and found the ball at the bottom had worn out so swapped the shaft into a good body, and the existing cap (this is important to ensure window goes up on up button, at first I didnt do this and window was doing opposite) Window all done, will lower it next and daily it for a few months. Have a m52 sitting in the shed for it, and will do a zf box. 5 stud it aswell to open up wheel choices. Slowly building up parts but keeping it on road until everything is ready

Hey, anyone have an alternator for an m30 e28 laying around? Preferably Wellington or can ship. I believe e34 m30s before 92 can be made to work.

There's a part in the door handle Mech that wears when the handle is lifted too far, as it wears, you need to lift it more, exacerbating the problem. Eventually something breaks, and the handle becomes floppy and stops working. I think I sorted this on a car we had, but y'know how it is. So many cars, such short memory.

You're not going to have a problem on a RWD with a staggered setup, pretty much every high horsepower RWD depends on a staggered setup. You only need to be concerned about rolling circumference and you can be miles out before that will bugger with traction control which, in most cases, measures the difference across an axle before it does front to rear.

I have one of the little $20 karcher ones and find it’s great, I don’t have to refill it with snow foam from UCC. Maybe I’m just cheap. would definitely recommend one Dave for $20 And local from Mitre10, not a big loss If it doesn’t suit you

Good call I had that on my list of things to do but completely forgot about it. I'll make a point of implementing linear throttle before my next drive. Cheers...

@qube ^^ that's exactly what I was looking for, I now see why they call you the wheel God on here haha. The RFT are Bridgestone potenzas, they cheap because they are getting out of that particular market and I wanted to give them a try. At $100 a tyre I wasnt really aiming for perfect setup, just double checking a staggered fitting wouldn't throw me into things like polley was talking about with e39. After this I will probably go back to non run flat and 255/35 rear 225/40 or 235 on fronts.

I use a cheapo one with my petrol blaster. I'm sure it's tool pro It worked pretty well but I did modify the nozzle a little for a better "sheet" effect and I have rejetted it too, keihin/mikuni jets work quite well for that ? Rejecting for better foam action does make a decent difference in the amount of product used

I know a bit about the M103/4, from MB, AMG and Brabus. When that controller gives up, throw it all away and go MegaSquirt, Link or Haltech. It's cheaper. This was mine. And yes - two of the coil packs did give up...

We even had a helicopter built in the workshop for Kent Baigent owner of Tellus Vacuum Cleaners in 1985 This photo was taken when moving the workshop over to new premises in FOX St Parnell From Eglon St. Was a Rota Way Kitset built by aircraft engineer and Blair Crossan. Our workshop was also used by advertising companies in the area who were also customers for automotive adds. Customers like Saatchi & Saatchi and Clemenger BBDO.

Its begun E30 in shed last night, rear lights bumper trim etc off for rust inspections. Not as bad as thought. Motor wiring disconnected, will drain fluids and disconnect exhaust and driveshaft tomorrow night. Motor out by weekend. Purchased these a couple weeks back, also have the rear seat to unstitch for cloth repairs Rolling chassis by next week, better start doing the detent refresh on the ZF and get the rust repaired.
