Gonna be hanging on to the 535i for some time. What would I upgrade to? It's pretty frugal and nimble for a 2 tonne wagon. 8-11l/100k. The 130i was in better condition, the 535i has a few curb scrapes and the imperial blue brilliant effect paint is a shocker for swirling, worse than black.

On the lookout for a replacement ABS pump for my 130i - part # 3451 6778484 01 VIN WBAUD52020JM27512 if anyone know can supply one or point me in the direction of one would be much appreciated 😊

That interior is a massive no for me. Nothing worse than a light colored interior when you work on cars often and use it to tow your race car. But other than that is looks great.

I know the guy that braught it.. He said he would sell it again for 13k if someone came along with the cash.

Project nearly there but now petered out, '73 02 which had all the body done which I bought and converted to race. Full cert roll cage and logbook, race seats and belts- now need replacing not having been used, thats how long!!, std M10 motor recon and unused. twin DCOe 48's choked down for the std engine, mangoletsi twin carb setup, Carter high volume low pressure paddle fuel pump. Front brakes upgraded to larger Volvo 240 recon callipers, larger vent. rotors, new yellowstuff pads, std 4 sp gearbox now but includes m20 5 sp close ratio , spare 4sp to convert the m20 one to m10 fitting by casing change, another o/d 5 sp gearbox, assorted parts but dont ask me for any, they only go with the car, body rust free, rear mounted battery, new race tyres, shortened bilstein inserts and adjustable top plates , paint work black with green flecks, much green powdercoating underneath, $19,991 or near offers. yeah man at 10k I feel it's good buying. I couldn't say no! I'm excited to get it. a bit more practical than a coupe for a daily as well. Just incase the wife needs to use it and it's easier to get the car seat into etc plus a lot more creature comforts than the 1 series

Think a car looking like this one, you are buying on condition and presentation. Doubt you could do what the owner had done for 10k. And provenance repowered etc given the age is fast becoming meaningless.
