N54 Twin turbo and 6 speed Auto. I have had this car for over a year and a half and it has been an awesome car! The only reason I'm selling is due to getting a ute. In the time I have owned the car I have done the following: -19" Breyton Magic WHEELS (made by BBS), 19x8.5" front (235/35R19) and 19x9.5" rear (265/30R19).Tyres are Achilles ATR Sport. -Brand new tow bar -35% tints -Water pump and thermostat -Delphi coils and spark plugs -Transmission pan/filter and fluid -K&N panel filter -Aluminium charge pipe -Penrite synthetic oil and filter -Right rear wheel bearing It is running very well and nice to drive. The only current issue is the windscreen washer fluid reservoir has a slow leak. Not a big issue and easy to fix with a new reservoir and a bit of time. I'm after $11,500 ono

Bit rich coming from someone who gets excited over a Honda Fit tbh.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't already happening on every outing!

Great start to the weekend - got an ECU tune + burble / crackle map done and most importantly got my my rev hang fixed which has been a pet peeve since I've had the car - I had learned to drive around the rev hang (slowing shifts down), feels much sharper and lighter now. Car feels livelier, although probably Placebo, but it is definitely driving almost as good as it looks now Sounds good too - the burbling / crackling is obvious on deceleration but not obnoxious as the Supersprint is a reasonably quiet muffler.

Yep no F3x 335d imported by BMW NZ (330d xDrive only). Spec is a bit ๐Ÿ’ฉ on the black one - halogen lights on a 43k GBP car can piss off. They tend to make the stated power (230kw / 630NM) at the wheels, stage 1 remap to 390-400whp. Plenty quick enough stock though. I think this is a better example if you can live with white https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2984295055?bof=uxR0EXXK I think I'd pay the extra and get this though: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2995847661?bof=2bTcMn4b

If I had a 1200hp S50 at my disposal I'd do skidz too, just for kicks and giggles.

Just looks like someone having fun, doing what they enjoy with their car.

@m325i Being a 2001 car also reduces it's value a bit IMO. Front strut towers are a little different and doesn't have the strut brace, older LCM (this might have been updated as it has facelift tail lights) and DSC system ETC. Some even claim more prone to rod bearing issues. Definite premium for a 03.5+ car. None of the big 3 addressed either. Positives being rare colour, factory manual, NZ New. I would say this is a pretty encouraging price for the M3 owners.

@aja540i how is it mechanically now? would guess an old diesel might benefit from an italian tune up...

One of those LSB met its demise when it went from Wgtn to Auckland a few years back . Owner of the time struggled to get miid $30s. But it was another immaculate example . Yesterdayโ€™s price is what I paid for my M3 in 2011 when it had 48,000 km on the clock. Great to see the value coming back on theses and hopefully the same happens with the boring colours like mine.

Havent missed BMW life. Everything is so expensive, and things keep falling off. Lost a center cap badge at some point today. Thought replacing the front and rear badges would be cheap (since someone put shitty carbon ones on it) but no, front one is cheap, boot one is a minimum of $50 from overseas. sh*t its a nice car to drive though. Just eats up the miles. Swapped the wider wheels/tyres back to the rear where they should be. Car suddenly drives better now with more grip and less traction control fighting. Cant believe the previous owner didnt notice. Oh, also coded the JDM radio to NZ frequencies. First time using NCSExpert, Easier than expected.

Excellent. I apologise @PartsFriend, it seems my scepticism was misguided. I'm glad it worked out well. @Cammsport how was it priced compared to the usual outfits (FCP, ECS etc)?

Very timely! Package arrived yesterday from David of Parts-friend.com Very quick delivery (delayed slightly by FedEx) and all parts are oe/oem. All well packaged with nil damage, even the radiator and E30 bonnet foam are in good knick. Ill be using Parts Friend from now on. Replied to emails within 24 hours.

And well done Fiat 131R. Some of the posters to this column need to take a good hard look at their attitudes here for goodness sake. You want your cake and wine served up on a plate, and want to reserve the right to complain with vigor if its not to your taste. I applaud Fiat 131R for his commendable attitude, While some of you were moaning about needing pix, the vendors poor attitude, and wanting your hands held while going to the toilet, a veritable bargain was uplifted by a quiet achiever. Kudos๐Ÿ‘
