Second startup of the year. I had some time on Saturday so thought I'd dust this one off and go for a drive; ended up in Hamilton for the night. Everything went well, oil level normal, no weird noises or vibrations and it's making good power. Kayne Barrie's rebuild has done wonders..! Still haven't installed the seat mounts - maybe over winter.

But it does make their 'N' naming pretty funny.

Hello, With our first child on the way, I needed more doors and seats than the van offered, and so this is my E46 330i. 2001 model, imported from Japan in 2009. 99,000 kilometres on the clock, full service history. Cleanish daily for the Whānau 👌🏼 I moved to New Zealand from the UK six years ago, and I'm North Shore based. I'm keen to get involved in the BMW community, particularly the Race Series (http://www.bmwraceseries.co.nz/). Cheers, Josh

Need new rotors, pads and sensors on all four corners on my 130i. Rock Auto have great prices, but the shipping is over 300 bucks! Anyone know of somewhere online/in NZ that can offer the required parts without breaking the bank? (big ask needing it on all corners)!

Given how liberally BMW splatter the M badge everywhere now, diluting it to almost meaningless, it no longer surprises me people make these ignorant mistakes.

Wait, what?! They’re not the standard Motorsport seats you find in the M3? Something’s fishy here...

I can sell you a set of OE BMW meaty pads and healthy rotors that I've just taken off the front of my 130i if that's of interest? That'll save you a chunk on shipping. Wish I could also offer you the rears but I've not done them yet. Calipers too if you need a spare set lol. If you're possibly interested I can measure them and take some pics but they're in good enough condition to last years yet. I upgraded to performance calipers and rotors. Either way, I got 4 x rotors shipped from www.spareto.com and they were cheaper landed than I could get locally... although the shipping still stung!

There are quite a few rivet-counters on TradeMe (i've done it previously but don't get the time anymore) but the sellers response makes it well worth while in this case. If it's a dealer / dealership then it's more justified as they should know better, and are possibly mis-representing their goods to unsuspecting buyers.

nice, love the xenon light upgrade and good on you for going the extra mile with the chrome bulbs (no egg yolk) @Sammo take note

Oh ok cool. thanks! ...turns out there wasn’t a bulb in there. All sorted and no more lights out on the dash.

Facelift. almost 1000km since the engine went in. Had a coolant light on last week. Not sure if it did a big burp or if it's leaking but either way i topped it up and am keeping an eye on it. Xenons sourced from Weitz and coded in by @promo. Black corner lights also installed with chrome bulbs. Black grilles are also in and a few stone chips fixed up. I've just noticed looking at these photos that there is a little bulb on in the passenger side light. This is consistent with a bulb out light on the dash on the drivers side. Anyone know what this is? I haven't wired up for bi-xenon functionality yet or self leveling...they will come down the line. Suspension has also settled. Dropped the car into auto38 this week for a gearbox flush. ZF filter and 12L of ZF oil. 212K trans oil was very black apparently.

Yes, its the Car Club that organise the BMW display at the concours each year. If you get chance come along to a race meeting and see some of the people and cars, we're a friendly bunch. Unfortunately the only meeting left this year is at Taupo on the 1st and 2nd May, which is a bit of a trek, but a good excuse for a week-end away!
