🙂hi I bought it.. It's immaculate! / Very original. From Japan into NZ in 1999, first owner 18 years. and all paperwork, Paint is perfect, etc, drives fantastic... I don't know a lot about the different models but It must be the euro spec / not the USA 3.0L??? 😕 because it has the oil temp gauge not the fuel economy gauge / speedo to 280 not 260 and throttle bodies for every cylinder rather than just one throttle body.. I had a yellow E36 M3 Evo 3.2 about 7 years ago (CEY950) sold it for $14k 😞 ... This one feels the same, good memories coming back, just need the seats to be reconditioned a wee bit and a few wee touch ups on the passenger door card, the leather is lifting. Otherwise it's like new!!! 🙂

Nice! I lost my licence twice thanks to GTiR + Young, dumb and full of cum. I should have invested in an E30 M3 instead.

I have a funny feeling Rose city cars will be listing this for $60k in the coming weeks.

    A potential challenger 🤔

Had the opportunity to purchase this, 1986, two previous owners. It is very original and complete and I am very pleased with it.

Good day everyone. My name is Donovan. I just joined your community after purchasing myself a 2003 z4 2.5. Quite excited to be a part of the community and to learn so I can enjoy getting to grips with my new weekender. Pictured here is my son straight of the test drive when I decided to buy it. Curious, is there a way to tell if my car was originally a 3.0 and had an engine swap or if the car always was a 2.5 with 3.0 badges added? I’ve Googled and checked the stamp on the engine and it’s definitely a 2.5. Thank you for reading!

Looking for a good 16:9 head unit display screen from a e39, e46 or e53. Ideally with a good screen, but will consider ones with faulty screens.

Yeah, genuine E30 Alpina rims were only available in 16” I believe, hence there are reps in that size. It’s debatable whether the replica 17s look any better than the 16”s, arguably the 17 is a smidge too big on the E30.

Welcome to Z ownership and bimmersport. I have an E85 Z4 as well and great fun cars. A great forum in the UK called Z4-forum.com has heaps of helpful diy links and info, worth a look. Also in Wellington so may see you at one of the meets.

I’m the current owner of your old one, for the last 8-9 years now. Glen tipped me off to that, and your purchase of this. Good score!

Definitely a 2.5 that someone has added the badges to. Get the VIN from the plate on Carjam then punch it into an online Vin decoder: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wbabt32020ls21514

Then don't worry too much about the front 0.6mm toe variance (which, let's be honest is a pretty small margin), car and wheels are going straight. Proper alignment shops, such as RaceAlign, will prioritise thrust angle over individual wheel toe values.

Are you just lowkey flexing then, pretending that that’s not your car?

I think that was owned by a Bimmersporter and had much higher kms - plate 321BHP or something?

I’ll ask the silly question - don’t you just dial in to what the software tells you the car should be? Or is there a lot more to it than that? I’ve had my F30 done at Auckland City BMW and it seemed fine…. To be at least which is probably not a good test!

I recommend Peter Burke at East Auckland BMW - I know you're looking for someone central, but he's a bit of a guru with E46 M3's. Plenty of motorsport experience also (including with the E46 platform).

Me too. For some reason they seem to be a love or hate style. I have grown to love them.

Pic lifted from here... https://www.bimmerboost.com/showthread.php?35181-N54-Valve-cover-gasket-DIY Clip doesn't appear to have any practical use, so I guess it is just something added by BMW to piss off DIY people Cheers...

There are also the genuine Hella options that come up second hand from time to time. They also look f**k ugly. I'd look at a good set of original lights. Unfortunately retrofitting a decent projector into standard housings is a WOF fail now, so thats a no go.

Also used to have one in early 2000's doing a lot of bent sprints at Ruapuna. On 18 psi, Cold air box, 3" exhaust, stock top mount I/C, ran 12.6 on hot day, and road tyres. Awesome little cars and something a bit different to Evo's and WRX's. (apologies for stealing thread)

FInally replaced the busted down shifter, no more random downshifts!
