Transfer case and stepper motors are the only other thing that really goes wrong on these

I'm potentially in the market for a new daily driver, looking at spending $3-4k Looking at e34, e38, e39, doesn't have to be a BMW either Anything out there?
-
I thought I'd would go for less considering I just miss out on a facelift diesel with 100km less went for similar money

Once you fill the tyre with goo, you have to replace it, so only really helpful in times where the tyre is irreparable so bear that in mind. I can't remember the success rate but I was told it was fairly low and most ended up needing a tow as the goo didn't stop the leak.

Indicate first then shift, let everyone know your intentions before you act. Common sense no?

https://www.trademe.co.nz/2753258737 I'm keen on this, however the bids on this seem dodgy. Who has been on trademe for 7 years but never made a trade? Plus the bids were removed early on but have returned

Money is also cheap to borrow at the moment, people can't travel either so are looking for a vice. Classic cars may just be that vice.

Should all be related therefore same claim, if it needs more then no further payment. The technical bulletin should say, do this first, if fault continues do this which will help

Used market is driven by the new market. There isn't enough new stock coming in which limits the amount of 'fresh used stock which in turn drives the prices up

With Autosure or any mechanical warranty, you'll find the phrase 'one excess for each and every unrelated claim

What I don't understand is that we already have legislation to manage this type of thing however the penalties and weak and not very well enforced. Same goes for liquor laws, we've got the rules, just no one bothers to enforce them

You guys are getting slack, this one was listed 24 hours ago and no one has posted it yet... https://www.trademe.co.nz/2762915823

Got a new job and just got through the first month. Spent some well needed money on some maintenance. New cambelt and water pump, went to start it and it wouldn't start...great...rechecked everything and seemed ok. Borrowed a crank angle sensor off a mate and started first time. Must have damaged it when disconnected it. The annoying slight miss at idle has now gone which is great. Picked up a remus muffler of Facebook for cheap, it's off an e36 323 I think, which should tidy up the rear nicely. Hopefully won't need too much modification to fit, the e30 has already been converted to a single pipe back from the middle cat. Looks like it'll clean up ok Sadly the next thing will be to sort some more rust. The battery leaked while it was parked up and the battery tray and firewall has rust in it.

Style 32 is the correct name for these
-
@Olaf haven't done on before but e30zone suggests either all e30 or e36 https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.php?title=Steering_Rack_Conversions

Does service manager count?

EGR is probably fine, it's the DPF you got to worry about

I've got no problem with it, if it's a rough shitty road then you'll know about it and youll learn where the pot holes and bumps are quickly, i am rather low however. Swapping between 215/35/18 to 215/45/17 made a massive difference in harshness. See if you can go for a ride with someone who has them installed, on the roads you are used then go from there. Just make sure they have been set up correctly as that can make a massive difference in ride quality
-
I've got BC Golds in the e36 and Yellowspeeds in the e30 and like them both. Tyre size I found makes a massive difference to how the they ride/crashing etc

Pull the coil out of 7 and swap with another cylinder, clear the code and take it for a drive. If the fault follows then replace the coil
