  1. What I don't understand is that we already have legislation to manage this type of thing however the penalties and weak and not very well enforced. Same goes for liquor laws, we've got the rules, just no one bothers to enforce them
  2. You guys are getting slack, this one was listed 24 hours ago and no one has posted it yet... https://www.trademe.co.nz/2762915823

    E30 Vert

Got a new job and just got through the first month. Spent some well needed money on some maintenance. New cambelt and water pump, went to start it and it wouldn't start...great...rechecked everything and seemed ok. Borrowed a crank angle sensor off a mate and started first time. Must have damaged it when disconnected it. The annoying slight miss at idle has now gone which is great. Picked up a remus muffler of Facebook for cheap, it's off an e36 323 I think, which should tidy up the rear nicely. Hopefully won't need too much modification to fit, the e30 has already been converted to a single pipe back from the middle cat. Looks like it'll clean up ok Sadly the next thing will be to sort some more rust. The battery leaked while it was parked up and the battery tray and firewall has rust in it.
  4. Style 32 is the correct name for these
  5. @Olaf haven't done on before but e30zone suggests either all e30 or e36 https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.php?title=Steering_Rack_Conversions
  6. EGR is probably fine, it's the DPF you got to worry about
  7. I've got no problem with it, if it's a rough shitty road then you'll know about it and youll learn where the pot holes and bumps are quickly, i am rather low however. Swapping between 215/35/18 to 215/45/17 made a massive difference in harshness. See if you can go for a ride with someone who has them installed, on the roads you are used then go from there. Just make sure they have been set up correctly as that can make a massive difference in ride quality
  8. I've got BC Golds in the e36 and Yellowspeeds in the e30 and like them both. Tyre size I found makes a massive difference to how the they ride/crashing etc
  9. These popped up on trademe today, no affliation. About 2x over priced IMO https://www.trademe.co.nz/2746492884
  10. Pull the coil out of 7 and swap with another cylinder, clear the code and take it for a drive. If the fault follows then replace the coil

    Quick rant thread.

On my first trip to Europe I spent a lot of time in major cities and started to miss the colour green, weird I know but it's something you take for granted.

It only needs extra parts in very small number of cases, and often being a recall part, can be hard to get hold of

    What to do

On the subject of style 32s, what's an 18inch set worth you reckon?

    M3 Touring

Shame they never made an f81, f31 is probably my favourite wagon

It's mainly the RFB boys, they finally caught on that the e36 is a well balanced and more importantly cheap platform to go drifting

    Quick rant thread.

E36 parts prices are now heading the way of e30 stuff and in some cases, more expensive. 2k for a ZF manual conversion, $1200 for a 220 conversion... makes the $1500 shipped from the UK I paid for my 6 speed a few years ago a bargain.
  17. Does the spare have to be a remote key? Can get a non remote or a plastic valet key from BMW for cheap enough

    E46 330ci Manual

All been there! Just rock up to your local dealer, they give them away if you don't mind their name on them

    E46 330ci Manual

Why not get europlate holders? No drilling required
  20. It moved under it's own power for the first time in a year! Hopefully warranted by the end of the week if I have time before I start my new job next week
  21. love your write ups, so much detail
  22. Offered a job today! Will be great to be doing something again as I haven't worked since the start of lock down. Also means I can get the e30 "finished"
