^^^^^^^No sh*t - just look at their gun laws, or lack of....
-
Ha I would abandon the lawns until i fixed the ride on if mine did that Been there done that when other things have happened to mine
-
Seriously - just go for OEM pads. Not cheap but you know what you are getting.
-
Contact wreckers to find out who has & for what price. No a replacement engine will not require coding - all the ancillaries will transferred from yours. Have a search of other threads on here relating to these engines - they would have to be the worst engines BMW have ever built!!
-
Maybe someone has put a stop leak, along with other crap, into the cooling system
-
^^^^^^ Nothing wrong with going for the branded products. You will find a lot of Milland parts will be of brands of suppliers to BMW AG I have a contact in Europe for BMW AG parts & mostly better pricing than Pelican too. Also much sharper shipping
-
Andy. Not sure what you mean as not being true? Those suppliers mentioned (+ many others) are suppliers to BMW & therefore come in a BMW box. Many of these can also be purchased under there own branding as well, & often much cheaper than BMW branded.
-
Don't recall seeing the "sold" line when i looked last night, could be wrong though. Date may be a typo error as in the manufacture date in the title
-
Absolute stunning example, would love in my garage, next to an E30 M3 ^^^^^ Actually same $$ comparison could be used for E30 M3 v E30 M325i & those stack up in the real world

Stem seals can be done in situ but is a PITA. Have not done myself in situ but many years ago I was going to attempt this on the E12 (M20) I confirmed what you have found. Talking to the local dealers at the time, they confirmed they had a service tool to do the job so I gave it to them to do. I have replaced them on other M20 engines since, but always when the head has been off.

^^^^^^^And use to integrate a reversing camera into the OEM screen. You need them on your cars Dave Edit. Digital TV still an issue with reception (out of main centres anyway) I fitted one as a test exercise. Reception was fine while driving around Hamilton city - there is a dedicated transmitter in the city. Out of the city it was receiving from a more distant transmitter (where our home digital receives from) picture soon started pixelating then failed/intermittently re appearing. No reception at home but do get while sitting in the middle of the intersection 100m from home Was meant to be work in progress to try & amplify the reception ability but have dropped the ball with it. This reminds me... -
But no to F/L rear lights onto a pre. Totally different size. Even F/L bumpers on a pre look disproportionate due to different lamp sizing & different rear guard height
-
Yep, realize that, I was merely thinking of "complete" Motronic conversion.
-
You need one of those to add to your collection Dave
-
Ok, I stand corrected. I thought the issue would be the Motronic dizzy into the front of the M10 cam, & cover. Along with the fitting of the CPS. you saying that late M10's blocks came with provision for? Edit - carpet I would make a cut under the heater & remove. Will never notice once back in place
-
I concur with above - you are keen Everything can be fixed but there does look to be a lot of work with this one. Hopefully it is economical to do so. Would pay to evaluate. As for rear shelf repair - probably best to get that fixed first & covered - these repairs require "official" repairing if noted. As for Motronic - not possible on M10. Was never an option for them. Some parts may be able to be fitted, but not all.
-
Surprised the donor didn't have rear door air bags. My 99 E39 does as I think earlier ones do too. Being critical Dave but photo suggests a different colour shade or is it just camera/light? Also - needs better aligning (raising) at leading edge

Absolute music to the ears. And dare i say - the E24's & M1's still sound the best, followed by the E30 M3's -
E39, E38, E46, E53 TV unlocking (TV on the move)

Yes but this only applies to gen 1 video modules - up to 09/98. Beyond that, the 2nd gen unit requires programming the SW with Navcoder etc, My 99 car original video module (gen 2) required this. When i upgraded to gen 3 & (16:9) monitor, required the same. Not of much use now unless you have add on DVD player or add on Digital TV via the AV circuit -
Hope the colour code is the same or the difference may be obvious.

^^^^^Paintless (sp) Yep a good idea if not too bad or creased. I have had great results with this on various cars. Only as good as the operator though.

Pretty much with anything - if it can be done, it can be undone. With the right tools & knowledge of course
