Mine are from germanplates.com have the requisite reflective markings - they're legit plates in Europe and meet or exceed any standard we have here. But they are not legit here because of a built in and protected monopoly. They're great value, group buy makes no difference, just understand the risk. I've been using mine since 2004 without a problem. My brother drove my car for a month and got stopped twice. I suspect it's more about the way you drive, the way you wear your cap and how your car looks and sounds than what plates you have on.

My landed price for a set of Eibach springs and roll bars was less than $500 NZ (although I ended up paying nothing but GST in the end). I had to be patient but it wasn't urgent for me so worked out well. I pulled the trigger when camelcamelcamel told me it was 70% off which happened twice in 3 months (I missed out the first time). Service from Amazon was outstanding.

I actually got a lot of my stuff through Amazon and got it here via KiwiShipping, I put a price watch on with camelcamelcamel.com and saved literally $100's.

McLaren 570 in Mt Wellington, looked f'ing hot.

Welcome John! It seems like the extension (.jpg) has dropped off your attachments which is why they're difficult to see. But she does look nice in Oxford!

Since you've had smoke and vacuum tests done I was also thinking wastegates. Might be worth testing them to affirmatively rule them out. Do you have a mechanical boost gauge?

Anyone know what a Bridge Racing Master is?

Maybe it's got underbody LED's? Crank it right up at night with car on (engine off) and try with headlights in off/park/on. You might get lucky, every car should come with disco lights stuck to their undercarriage. -
~$120 IIRC. It's been a few years since I paid for one.

Wairau Alignment & Suspension - 127 Wairau Rd, Glenfield There's a BMW nut that works there too, can't for the life of me remember his name...
-
Are those prices for these sizes? If so then all three are good deals. Nice find.

In that case Beller off Constellation drive is easy for you to get to or BM Workshop is a slight detour on your way to the CBD. Both are very good and won't rip you off. Just keep in mind that no BMW shop worth it's salt is "cheap" so be prepared... If you have any concerns about advice or a quote from anybody you can also post here and ask. Especially if you get a long list of parts to replace, that can become expensive.

I agree with the above, where you take it will largely depend on where you live in Auckland - there are many good independents, no point in driving all the way across town to the furthest one. And as Olaf says, keep us posted with progress, we're typically interested in such things. Good luck!

Seats will look like that ^ again in 2 years or less.

It's been scanned properly and VANOS timing was out. If that's been fixed it needs another scan.

He was installing a CF intake in an e92 M3 in the Repco car park? Owning it.

Well hopefully the seats in the car for sale have been done well and last for a long time. They look fantastic.
-
Still a paint on though @hotwire?
-
Fair enough @Olaf, I'm happy with that. Presumably it's leather off and big, big $ to properly restore it though? And @TermiPeteNZ I'm not sure really what they're worth. I personally wouldn't have listed this car for as much as 15-18 but then I was told the other day that I'd be mad to accept less than 20 for mine. That seems an awful lot to me.

Yeah. And it won't be dyed, it will be painted. I can attest that when i got mine in 2001 (?) the leather (Lotus White) looked like that. Little did I know it had been "restored" and a few years later it looked terrible again. And that was on 6 year old seats. These are 23 year old seats! Unless it's new leather they'll look awful again soon. And 18k? Holy crap, what is mine worth???
